The Briar Rose restaurant has been a staple in Breckenridge since the early 60s and the building has been around since the turn of the century. Food is excellent. Try the Colorado lamb, it's fabulous. Portions are big, side dishes can easily be shared. If you want a great burger, sit in the bar and order off the bar menu.... More

I was looking for a small plate tapas style place in Breckenridge and found this place. The creative cocktails and food was incredible. I wish that I would have been here sooner and knew about their happy hour. The dinners that went to the tables looked impressive especially the huge pork chop.

Briar Rose is always a "special night out" for us, but this time we left disappointed. We have always ordered a large portion of prime rib and shared--and it has always been mouth watering. We always order medium rare, and while I realize that it is sometimes difficult to get this on such a large slab of meat, this was... More

This is an elegant dining experience, the exterior looks like an old saloon, but the interior is period reminisent and very impressive. Our server was very knowledgeable and friendly. We had Lemon Rosemary Roasted Chicken, a whole chicken, very tender and juicy. Smelled very good and tasted even better. All meals are al a carte, so a side of their... More

Can't say enough about this restaurant. My boyfriend and I both had the rib-eye steak. It was flavorful, done to perfection, and melted in your mouth. The service was wonderful, and I felt like I was in a "real" old fashioned steak house. For those who don't want meat, there is a variety of things you can choose from. The... More

Great happy hour on Friday and Saturday when all appetizers and drinks are 2 for 1. The rest of the time, they offer small plates and drinks are 2 for 1. The prime rib sliders and escargot are wonderful and not to be missed!! Bar atmosphere is very pleasant and our server MJ did an excellent job keeping us happy.

Not quite five star in my book. I had the crab and scallop appetizers along with the trout. The appetizers were very good but the trout was dry. The wait staff is very attentive and professional.

I had the trout, we also had Mac and cheese and creamed corn with green chile. Starters of Crab cakes and scallops with bacon. Every bite was fantastic. Highly recommend for nice more formal Dinner setting. Old house/saloon building, historic photos etc. a little noisy, not really a quiet romantic type place.

We were staying in Breckenridge for 2 weeks at the end of the winter season. Many of the shops and restaurants in town were closed due to the off-season. We saw an ad for Briar Rose on the local TV channel in the resort and decided to try it one evening. We walked in without a reservation, thinking the town... More

We are locals and eat out 2-3 times a week. Briar Rose is a bit pricey but worth it. Beef is their specialty. Veggie sides are large and serve 2-3 people. Try the veggie gratin. Same family also own Park & Main which is great for lunch
