I hope the reason why it took so long for every dish to be served was because we went there on Xmas eve. It took at least 30 minutes for the one appetizer and then another 35 minutes for two entres and side dish. They were so busy that we had to sit in the bar, which was fine but... More

We loved everything about this place - from start to finish. We had salads, the fillet, rack of lamb, grilled asparagus and mac and cheese - all were delicious - but I'd make a special trip back just for the lamb - superb! Our waitress, Sabrina, was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. They have a great menu for wine, cocktails and... More

Briar was a phenomenal find! The steak I had was both a fine cut and a dessert in one! Our sides were tasteful and great too! The service was quick. This restaurant was well worth the price! Thanks for a memorable steak!

The steaks and fish were excellent and well prepared. This is a fine dining establishment and you should expect to pay accordingly. You should make a reservation to ensure a table. The wait staff is excellent and very attentive. My only criticism is the portions are too large (the owners are Texan and believe in serving generous portions). Highly recommended.

I had heard great things about this restaurant but never had dinner there until a couple of weeks ago, taking clients there to celebrate a real estate transaction. Nice dining room, good service but food, given price, extremely disappointing. When you spend a few hundred dollars (and we had only one bottle of $40 wine) you expect to eat a... More

Just finished a wonderful Thanksgiving meal at the Briar Rose. Vacationing in Breck for the first time, this was a real treasure to find. They were kind enough to fit us in for a reservation today, meal was excellent, staff was exceptionally kind - even substituted a key lime pie (my favorite) for the prix fixe thanksgiving dessert! Perfect experience,... More

Dining at the Briar Rose is an experience in food prepared and served like it is supposed to be. On this visit to the Briar Rose, I was seated in the main dining room. They also have a dining area in the bar area, but that is not as classic as the main room. I ordered escargot, a personal favorite,... More

We were looking for a romantic dinner restaurant and this place delivered! A little on the pricey side, but for the price the food is excellent, huge portions, the service was great, and the atmosphere was elegant and inviting! I would definitely stop in of you are looking for a good date night! We'll be back!

We ate at a number of good restaurants in breckenridge. Columbine, Erics, Empire Burger, Hearthstone. All very good and worth the price. This however; was not great. We had prime rib which was Ok. Buffalo Ribs very bland. Brussel sprouts with chorizo and potatoes. The kids had for 17 dollars; shrimp that comes out of a frozen carton not freshly... More

Many restaurants have come and gone in Breckenridge, but Briar Rose continually stays ahead of the game. Charming dining experience in a historic building. Always great food, drinks and service.
