We are locals and eat out 2-3 times a week. Briar Rose is a bit pricey but worth it. Beef is their specialty. Veggie sides are large and serve 2-3 people. Try the veggie gratin. Same family also own Park & Main which is great for lunch

We took a historic walking tour and our guide mentioned their Happy Hour of 4 - 6pm and small plates that are half price on Friday and Sat. A wonderful recommendation. There were 4 of us so we tried 8 different small plates and made a meal of it. The egg rolls and steamed buns were especially good. Go early... More

We had a great family dinner here. Pricey, but definitely worth it. Service was average, not bad but not out of this world. Filet was one of the better ones I've had. The side sauces are very good. My 11 year old had the trout and loved it.

This is going to be a weird review - because I have some high-highs and some low-lows for this place. First, the highs: The wedge salad was AMAZING. Very fresh, crispy lettuce and the Ranch dressing is so delicious. The other high was our server brought us free cheesecake (more on that later) and it was probably the best cheesecake... More

Dinner with friends, every bite was incredible, excellent service, elegant atmosphere but not stuffy. VERY expensive, so save for a special night out. Hubby had Buffalo short ribs that we indescribably great, I had filet that was the best I've ever had. Friends shared the pork chops and said they were outstanding.

Really enjoyed this small and nicely appointed dinner house. The food and wine was exceptional. The server was well trained to sell up and offer the house selection ( sometimes we dont like this ) but this was a good choice. Make sure you proof the menu before the sales pitch starts. The place is slightly pricey but worth it.

The food was way overpriced and mediocre. owner was real nice. Would not return. The portions were small, the food jut didn't wow me, and for what we were paying, i expect to be wow'd.

We ventured here after realizing the wait at another restaurant was over 2 hours. We sat in the bar area, which was likely part of our problem. We felt like we were overlooked in this area although they have several tables as an overflow area from their main dining room(s). The steak had no flavor at all except for salt... More

My husband and I visited for our anniversary dinner and I don't regret it for a minute. We don't typically think spending a ton of money on restaurants is a good use of our money, but this was money well spent. I had a filet and he a ribeye. I could literally cut my steak with my fork and it... More

Our trip could not have been complete without our visit to the Briar Rose which is a recreation of a salon boarding house during the silver rush of the late 1800. The menu has aged beef, elk, duck, buffalo and chicken. Our group had the aged strip steak, the ribeye and the cast iron chicken (whole chicken split and cooked... More
