We go skiing with my son to Breck every year for the past 6 or so years. Once we discovered thus steakhouse, we keep returning there every time we are in Breck. The food is excellent, as is the service. A bit noisy, but it is to be expected. Make sure to make reservations, or you will wait for a... More

My lovely romantic husband planned a beautiful escape to the Mountains of Breckenridge for a weekend get away, along with the phenomenal surprise of chilled champagne on ice, gorgeous flowers in an exceptional vase, a precious little bronze gift bag from JAREDS the GALLERIA OF Jewerly and chocolate covered strawberries he made reservations for the Briar Rose the day after... Mountain rustic with five star service. Customers in jeans/sweaters in October. All pricing is separate including the sides. However, the food and service were fantastic. Beet/Goat Cheese/Arugula salad was delicious! Blue Cheese is home made and strong so ask for it on the side. Petite Filet was melt in your mouth. Best I've had in years. Husband ordered salmon special... More

Come on this is a ski town. You do not pack your tux to go to dinner on the slopes. This place was incredible. From the service to the food. I had not had escargot in years and this was to kill for. Fresh rocky mountain trout. Come on a happy hour 2 for 1. It goes on and on.... More

The atmosphere is very rustic and the steaks are the best you will have in Breck. Make sure to make reservations though, because the dining room is a little small and this place is too good to miss!

Having read all of the restaurant reviews on Tripadvisor we decided to give the Briar Rose a try. Before I retired my job entailed flying all over the world eating in many countries, and believe me I have had some great fare but the Briar Rose is right at the top. My wife and I love wild game so naturally... More

Love this place - but you need to call in advance to get a table. Lobster Mac and Cheese is fabulous (it may have been a special), and the Elk Medallions and Buffalo Short Ribs are favorites of ours. Service always stellar.

The ambience is just right. Wait staff is cordial and attentive. Noise level is minimal. Delicious filet with the lingonberry sauce (my choice) baked potato fully loaded and brusselsprouts to die for. The filet is grass fed colorado beef which could not be any better. Don't know how they do it, but my filet was pure perfection. I highly recommend... More

Setting in the restaurant small and intimate. The wine list is huge for a place this size. The food....? Here's a hint, don't eat all day and prepare yourself! I couldn't stop! The food is so wonderful, perfectly cooked and so many unique options to choose from. We will be back to the Briar Rose very soon!

The Briar Rose restaurant has been a staple in Breckenridge since the early 60s and the building has been around since the turn of the century. Food is excellent. Try the Colorado lamb, it's fabulous. Portions are big, side dishes can easily be shared. If you want a great burger, sit in the bar and order off the bar menu.... More
