I wish I could say i liked it more, but everything about Briar Rose is average for what is supposed to be a high-end restaurant. Interior is a bit drab and dated, service was good, but nothing special, food was good, but not memorable. Prices a little high, which makes the value a bit lower. Don't get me wrong, you... More

It had been about a year since we had been to the Briar Rose. It is still excellent. The sea scallops wrapped in bacon were perfectly prepared.

A group of 6 of us went for dinner while on vacation in Colorado. The food and service were excellent. Someone in our party ordered the Elk and it was amazing. My steak was also terrific, but the Elk stood out as the best. The prices are in line with top end steakhouses and worth it if you are looking... More

Let me start by saying that everything we ordered on the dinner menu was delicious. We got the smoked salmon appetizer, caesar salad, wedge salad, double filet, cream of asparagus soup, mushroom soup, French fries, and three sauces. Everything was very flavorful, had beautiful presentations, and came promptly. Our waitress was very attentive. Here's the problem: on their website, there... More

We so wanted to enjoy Briar Rose - we knew it wouldn't be cheap but we were hoping for the best meat Breck could offer. The dining room is lovely - nice old world feel and the service was friendly, attentive and informative. Only slight niggle was the unsolicited wine recommendation - apparently a snip at $92! Maybe it's just... More

This was our first visit here and it will be on our list to now visit each year. All around good food and kid friendly also! Food and service both excellent.

Briar Rose is an institution in Breck. It is definitly worth going, if you don't mind pulling out your pocketbook. The steaks are great, but all meals are served ala carte, thus you must order everything family style. This can get costly, especially if your group is picky. I am glad we went, but would have preferred to try Twist... More

Such a great meal! There were nine of us, so we were able to taste a lot of the menu. We started with plates of game sausage for the table--boar, elk, and veal/rabbit. Delicious! Next everyone had the sweet garlic soup with espresso cappuccino foam-- Do NOT miss this! For the entrees, several had the buffalo prime rib which was... More

Buddy and I in town for skiing wanted a great chop house for dinner. Briar Rose came up high on Trip Advisor, Yelp and Urbanspoon. We couldn't get a reservation before 9 pm, but we went anyway around 5:30 pm. We avoided the dinning room and decided to sit in the bar area...more casual atmosphere and allowed us to watch... More

Family and friends had dinner here in early March while staying in Breck. We enjoyed a number of different entres between the seven of us. We had two children that were able to have decent choices from a small children's menu. My daughter had the child prime rib and there was enough to feed an adult. One of my friends... More
