Friendly steakhouse with solid food for our last night in Breck

Our group of six had our last dinner in Breckenridge at Briar Rose. We had a very friendly server and they put us in a great round both so we could all chat. The starters were delicious (smoked salmon and shrimp) and the salads were exactly as you would expect (I never eat iceberg lettuce except... read more

First time at the Briar Rose and it did not disappoint. The staff are all very friendly and attentive. I had the ribeye steak and it was cooked exactly as I requested. The sides are served family style so there is a lot of each item ordered. I ordered the sauteed mushrooms and while they were good, they were a... More

We have had dinner at the Briar Rose a number of times over a period of years. The result has been uniformly excellent. Our server, Amy has been there for a number of years. She was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the off menu specials, as well as everything else. My daughter had Prime Rib, I had a Bone-in Buffalo... More

My friends and I tried Briar Rose due to the good reviews I've seen on TripAdvisor. I've been to Breckenridge many times and I always pass up this restaurant. For some reason I just never considered dining here. What a mistake! This restaurant has great food and great service. I loved the bison rib eye! This is an expensive restaurant... More

It was excellent food and service. A bit pricey, but very nice for a nice evening out. I had the Filet which was excellent. The mashed potatoes were awesome! The Ceasar salad was very good and the staff was nice.

Run, don't walk, to Briar Road. It is fantastic. Exquisite food, brilliant presentation, terrific staff. They serve filets that literally melt in your mouth. A variety of stakes, prime rib, game ( braised buffalo incredible.) best thing we had was the side of creamed corn- indescribable.

Took our daughter there for her birthday and it was a great meal. Between six of us we had the filet, rib eye and prime rib. Grilled asparagus was good and the service was very good. We'll go back for sure.

I live in Kansas City where steaks rule. The steaks were average. I loved the side dishes to share which were delicious and unique. The restaurant had lovely service and beautiful surroundings. Perhaps I just didn't get the best ribeye. I think that I should have chosen a different dish. It's a great place to celebrate a major life event.... More
