Good food, a bit over the top

We enjoyed our meal at Ember. The food was well-prepared and tasty, and the atmosphere was quiet and pleasant. Service was great. The only negative for me was that the menu items were a bit "overdone" (not overcooked). There were too many items or ingredients for most of the dishes. Really, who... read more

I was in Breckenridge solo Friday night and had read about Ember. The reviews were very inviting so I ventured in for Happy Hour thinking I would catch the tail end of that or do dinner. I sat in the Bar where I was warmly welcomed by Todd the Bartender AND the guests at the bar. There was a couple... More

Outstanding food. Outstanding service. Casual elegant ambiance is warm and inviting. Clearly chef/owner Scotty B knows how to create, staff and operate one of the most magnificent restaurants in Summit County and beyond. The seasonal changing menu offers options entirely different than our last visit which we thought, at the time, was simply the best. However, another magnificent night of... More

The lobster ramen, soft shell crab slider with crickets and pork belly apps are a must try. The veal lettuce raps are also good but a small portion to share. The crab cake was dry and left much to be desired. I had the ribeye with potatoes and a plum and salami sauce. The sauce was great, steak needed salt... More

This restaurant is only half a block from the main drag. We passed it on our way to the grocery store and it looked intriguing enough to come back to for dinner. We had no wait for a table. The "chef's whim" soup was based on butternut squash and I am not exaggerating to say it was the best soup... More

We had a wonderful dinner at Embers. Interesting menu and adequate wine list. My wife had a well prepared monkfish and I had duck breast with a wonderful sauce. Restaurant is in a charming old victorian and tables positioned to give a nice ambience. Jake, our server, was attentive and enthusiastic.

My boyfriend and I are foodies and went to Ember by recommendation from owner of Breckenridge Distillery. First of all, the menu (both drink and food) covered all the bases and did not overwhelm. Gorgeous Amber serves us perfectly. We started with grapefruit salad and pork belly. Beautiful display and perfect balance in flavor. Unique. Creative. The chef is clearly... More

Todd, the bartender, made the atmosphere in the bar so awesome that we cancelled our dinner table reservation and just stayed at the bar! The cocktail creations are fabulous. As other reviewers have noted, the Sexy Woman is a fantastic cocktail. The Montpelier was great too. We loved the Antelope Wrap appetizers, and Short Ribs, but my favorite was the... More

As one member of our party said, most of the creations are juxtaposed. Shrimp with chorizo. Pork belly with hearts of palm and mini pineapple upside down cake. If you are feeling adventurous then Ember is great. Fine dining at reasonable for fine dining in a resort town prices. But everything has a twist and fitting quality limited options. So... More

We had a great experience tonight. Everything was fantastic! The pork belly appetizer with the miso pineapple upside down cake was unbelievable! Salty and sweet. I had the pork loin for a main course and it was perfect. Extremely tasty, great seasoning and good portion. Jake was our waiter and he was very friendly and knowledgeable. And, when asked for...
