Unbelievably good

Not being a vegetarian, I was a little leery about Leaf. As it turned out, this was the best place I ate the whole week I was in Boulder. I had some kind of Jamaican thing that was beyond the pale. My wife and daughter (a vegetarian) shared my opinion. Here is the kicker; Leaf is very modestly... read more

I was taken here by some Vegan friends. They loved their food and if you are Vegan this is the place for you. As for me, didn't care for the food at all. Found it to be rather tasteless and pretentious. The service was rather cold & indifferent, and the kitchen slow. Prices are reasonable.

This place has delicious food. They use local ingredients and really grasp the farm to table movement. The tea selection is also wonderful. The prices are concurrent with those on Pearl Street (so slightly expensive), but the foods are crafted with high attention to detail and fresh flavour.

The food at leaf is healthy, fresh, delicious and served with artistry. Of all the restaurants we've tried on our 17 day journey in Colorado, this one is my favorite.

Leaf relies on tofu and tempeh to up the protein content of its dishes, which are often inspired by other cultures--for instance Jamaican Jerk Tempeh or Zucchini Pad Thai. This is not the most refined vegetarian cuisine I've ever had, but it is very good.

The atmosphere here was elegant and serene. Upscale, vegan dining with a creative menu is hard to find. This small restaurant fit the bill!

Being carnivorous (not to say omnivorous) I would ahve never gone into the restaurant by myself, but as life would have it, I was invited by colleagues rom work and tagged along. Never regretted the choice. Small menu, that covers a large variety of cuisines from Thai, to American, to Italian, Spanish and a few others. Reason for concern? Not... More

We were surprised that there were not more strictly vegetarian restaurants in Boulder but fortunately there is Leaf. We had to try the vegan "crab" slider. It did not disappoint. I had the zucchini pad thai. Excellent. I forgot what my son got but he liked it. With our two alcoholic drinks, our bill was $50. Good service, pleasant waitress,... More

From 8pm on Leaf offers an 'evening' type of happy hour. A number of the drinks and small plates are $2 or more less than the regular menu. Two of us had two cocktails each and four small plates and two desserts. The bill was only $65! Waitstaff was very pleasant and knowledgable. A great find in downtown Boulder.

Definitely love that this is an all-vegetarian restaurant - need many, many more of these! Also had read that it was very vegan friendly, as in most dishes could be vegan, too. That wasn't really the case. The first 3 dishes we tried to order as vegan all couldn't be made that way - things like cream in the sauce... More
