Unique cocktails & Wine list

Great place to hang for cocktails in Boulder. We made reservation, but only ordered heavy appetizers and cocktails, instead of dinner entrees, and glad we did, because it was busy and wait was 45 minutes. Nice menu, quaint place. Referred by hotel

We have lived in Latin America & spent a lot of subsequent time there. The food in Aji tries to replicate Latino food, but falls a bit short. I am guessing that to some degree the chefs are trying to cater to local tastes. The food is rather bland. The arepas bear little resemblance to the real thing. The waitstaff... More

Had breakfast / brunch here by accident. (I'm a long-time Boulder resident and wasn't willing to wait 40 mins for a table at a place down the street). It was amazing - had the ropa vieja and ceviche platter - it was delicious. Great service and atmosphere...I know there have been some "iffy" reviews since management changed hands a few... More

Dropped in to Aji on a busy Friday night without a booking. Had only a short wait for a table, and for our orders to be taken. The first thing we were served is best described as a small portion of cheese bread, almost like a mini muffin. Delicious, subtle flavour. This was followed by a Caesar salad, large enough... More

Happened to walk in to this spot on Pearl Street for brunch. We were more than pleasantly surprised. Service was efficient and the staff was very personable and met any request we had made in a timely and gracious manner. The food we had was excellent.. I had the shrimp and grits topped by an egg done to perfection.. The... More

I loved their guacamole, but felt the rest of the food was average. They offer dipping sauces for their entrees and appetizers, but they just didn't grab me like a good sauce should. The place itself is gorgeous and sitting outside is lovely. Was not impressed with my mojito--it tasted soapy.

Last year Aji was our "go to" place for a quick meal before going to the Boulder Phil. We went yesterday and were really disappointed. The service was slow and un-attentive, the happy hour portions were smaller than we remember, the red wine by the glass was barely acceptable, and the food was generally unremarkable. Next time we will stick... More

Was there with a large group one night. Service was good. My roast chicken dish was overcooked and dry. Guacomole was good but not enough chips to enjoy it with. The flourless chocolate cake was not good.

We went for brunch on a Sunday and loved the menu options we saw. However, when we went in, service was spotty and the food was nothing special. Ceviche portion was maybe 2 bites and the eggs a couple of us ordered were cold and overdone. The price was high considering the quality wasn't great. Sangria was really sweet and... More

I was there on Sept 1st 2014, having previously visited it in July 2013. In 2013, the ceviche was good, with octopus as the ingredient. It was quite good. This year, the ceviche ingredients were an odd lot (tilapia, salmon, shrimp), and the curing sauces were an equally strange collation . Ceviche needs firm white fish or cephalopod flesh, and...
