The very best place to celebrate an event in Boulder.

I have been going to the Gold Hill In since the 1970s. The quality and service are exceptional. The family recipes are delicious. I would recommend it without reservation for a wonderful evening. Often there is entertainment so guests can stay after dinner to hear live music. Brian and Chris... read more

This place is a Boulder institution. Very cool log cabin vibe, great place to have a beer and hear some live music. The restaurant, though, is highly overrated. It's a fixed menu, and you can choose either 3 or 6 courses. 3 would be enough, not because of the quantity, but because it's just nothing special. Not bad, just not... More

The Gold Hill Inn is a place that is set back in time, the town was one of the first gold mining towns in Colorado. The Inn takes you back to the 1800's when this town was born . The drive up to the Inn is worth the time, the views are priceless . Next , the food is in... More

Let's just say this is an overall sensory experience that starts down in Boulder. The drive up thru Sunshine Canyon and around the mountain to Gold Hill is just beautiful, especially at sunset. It is paved about 2/3 of the way up but the unpacked road is wide and well maintained. You arrive in Gold Hill which must have been... More

This is destination dining at its best. We could not get a reservation for the dining room although the maitre d' tried and was very apologetic. We ate in the bar area which was very welcoming. Live music from 5-7 on Sunday night! The bar menu had some of the best things from the main dining menu and was perfect... More

Same old drop-dead-gorgeous scenery, great service (as long as you are respectful in return), and I love the fresh, innovative "mountain" cuisine. Note: rainbow trout just sounds cool - but it's usually no-big-deal-fish. Here, it's something special - try it if you like fish in general. The drive to/from is a hoot. Roads much better now than 40 years ago.... More

How did this place ever get on the top 50 places to eat - let alone #3 in Boulder ???? Why are the reviews on TA from 2014 ??????Nice people, great atmosphere, the food is disappointing though. Yes they do have gluten free options. Wine is really disappointing. The bar is great - stick to the mixed drinks and you... More

We attended a wedding here. So fun. Incredible drive up the mountain. Food was good. We took a drive down Lick Skillet Rd. which was scary and fun!

The ride in itself up Sunshine Canyon at dusk is worth the trip. Excellent service. Unique old west charm. Highly recommend doing at least once.

Such a unique experience. I've visited here several times over the past 30 years, and it is always a delight. Staff are so friendly and helpful. The 6 course meal is wonderful! You will not leave hungry. The drive up is interesting, never been on such washboard roads (coming up Sunshine Canyon). Must see this gem of a town to... More
