Oozing with flavor

I had the tamales with added beef brisket. To say it was an instant favorite will not do it justice. The flavors were all distinct yet messed together for perfection!

The food was very yummy. My sister wanted mine ruby trout and I'm not a a fan of the blue grits that looked pink, & the pickled things on top, blea. so we exchanged. Great! The chicken enchilada portion was large, & tasty, but i only ate half. The fish tacos my husband ordered were just ok.

we were staying in a hotel near here, and what a treat to have this place next door. We like trying new places in new cities, but we had to come here for a second time in our short visit, because it was so good and the service was great!!

Enjoyed our spur of the moment visit to Zolo for brunch. The menu held many tasty sounding selections but we finally made a decision - the Breakfast Skillet and the Southwest Benedict. Both were delicious! These were washed down with coin margaritas, pricier than the $3 brunch Bloody Mary's and Mimosa's but well worth it. Our waitress was delightful and... More

Experience Zolo and become a fan of Query's restaurant concepts. A local CU graduate that has opened many successful restaurants from locations in and around the Boulder and Denver areas. From the Boulderado Hotel to the Hi Low district of Denver. Imaginative and well executed with e wonderful wait staff.

I've been here many times and their service is always excellent. However, I'm so tired of this menu that hasn't changed in years. It drastically needs updating. If you are new to Zolo's you will enjoy this spin on south western cuisine.

I've only been here twice but have never had a bad meal. The food is somewhat fusion with all sorts of variety tossed in. The staff, restaurant and food is all on point. You can do casual or a bit dress up. And the prices are very reasonable for the amount and quality you are getting.

My husband and I went for lunch. Chips and salsa was very good- the guacamole was bland, tasteless, unremarkable. We make much better at home. I ordered the tortilla soup as I wanted something "light". I've always enjoyed tortilla soup at other Mexican restaurants- this was not the case here. Way too peppery, spicy, hot. My eyes and nose were... More

Zolo has been around for a number of years (not always the case in ever-changing Boulder). The Mexican food it serves isn't Tex-Mex or Taco Bell; it does try harder, with modern preparations and ingredients, etc. But the food, at least the last time I was there, isn't wonderful. The duck confit stew was rather nasty - the duck dry,... More

We dine at Zolo almost every time we're in Boulder. It had been a couple months since our last visit, and we do have Denver favorites, these have gone down in our estimation in comparison to Zolo. Contemporary, fun and clean interior, and the food is the same. Wow to a house-made chutney that had so many discernible flavors, it... More
