Easter Brunch

Spent Easter in Boulder to visit our daughter. After church at Flatirons Church (overwhelmingly awesome), we had brunch at The Walnut Cafe. They have 3 locations and we went to the one on Walnut Street. Awesome timing, no wait for a table. The place was bright, cheery and full of friendly help. The... read more

Each order is a large helping. The Mocha Grande it a good start. I had the Boulder Scramble and the tofu (substituted) for the eggs...you could not tell the difference. It is load and crowded but the service is great and you are in and out. A variety for vegans and vegetarians.

We had a late breakfast at the Walnut Cafe. My wife and son had the breakfast burrito, I had eggs. Both dishes were good; the burritos were large and filling. Knowing that the restaurant is known for its pie I decided to try a slice of coconut cream. It was very disappointing. The crust was hard and not flaky and... More

Love eating at the Walnut Cafe (and it's sister, the SouthSide Walnut Cafe). Food is always great, and you should at least consider dessert after your breakfast- that's how amazing the pies are at the Walnut. Notable espresso bar, as well. They don't even look at you twice if you show up after a morning bike ride in your spandex.... More

Dropped in with friends yesterday for brunch. While the food came from the kitchen quickly, mine was cold. The first bite was cold. I don't really care for cold eggs and toast.

The waitress was so nice & helpful. She told us what some of the yummiest, most popular items were on the menu. And she was right! Outdoor seating was nice, even a blanket on your chair for chilly days.

I always look forward to eating here when I come to Boulder. The food is always great, hot, and reasonably priced. Our waitress has always been friendly, knowledgable, and nice. Two of us got omlets and we both really liked them. I like that you get two sides with the meal, and they have many choices. Their omlets are the... More

This local diner was recommended to us by the staff at our hotel and also rated highly in local reviews. The diner is located on Walnut Street (surprise!) in a strip shopping center. The breakfast menu is expansive and offeres something for everyone - including many options for gluten free dining which is a must for me. The first morning... More

While in Boulder for a long weekend, we had breakfast at the Walnut Café 3 days in a row. I loved the cornbread and breakfast potatoes. I had the tasty Blueberry Corn Bread pancakes the first morning. other mornings did not disappoint either. Lots of veggie options also.

Walnut Cafe is kind of a Boulder mainstay. It's great for brunch on a weekend, or a breakfast or lunch get-together. It's very popular and there is often a wait. It's worth the wait. Service can be a little slow, especially if you eat outside. However, watching people try to park is entertainment enough while you wait for your server.... More
