Walnut Cafe is kind of a Boulder mainstay. It's great for brunch on a weekend, or a breakfast or lunch get-together. It's very popular and there is often a wait. It's worth the wait. Service can be a little slow, especially if you eat outside. However, watching people try to park is entertainment enough while you wait for your server.... More

Last year I've visited family that lives nearby and they took me to this Cafe. It was fabulous - this year I did not miss going there for breakfast even twice. The place is spacious and there is always room to have you even without a reservation. The stuff is very friendly and the food arrives quite fast, considering crowded... More

We had a later breakfast here..it was busy on a weekday, and service was a little slow (reason for four stars) but the food was great. They had a lot of vegetarian options, which I always appreciate. They also had a local artist's work up on the walls.

We ate breakfast here and the food was very good. The potatoes were real potatoes, not hash browns, the bacon was on the thicker side and I could tell the rye toast was homemade and delicious. I would definitely eat here again. My reason for 4 stars, is that I am from the east coast, and you need to leave... More

We have lunched here 3 times in last six months. Each time we got a crappy table right by the kitchen. Each time had to beg the waitstaff to work our table. Up to 10-15 minutes before anyone attended to us. The waitstaff was also pretty indifferent (overworked?). The food was below average. Bacon was undercooked & greasy. Bread was not... More

We had a late breakfast here this morning. Very good food, especially the Belgian waffles, which were served with fruit and whipped cream. Good coffee and chai tea. Nice friendly service and no wait to be seated. It's a breakfast place so nothing fancy, but comfortable enough. Well worth a visit.

I go to the Walnut Cafe when I do not have time to wait around. I know that I am going to get nutritious well prepared food and good service. There are Coffee drinks and fruit breads that I like , but there are not any potatoes . Some people like that and I prefer it to badly prepared potatoes... More

My husband and I ate here a few days ago. I really enjoyed my breakfast, but he thought it was just so so. Really this is because this is mostly a "breakfast place" with some sandwiches thrown in, and he had the Philly sandwich, I had the breakfast. Prices were reasonable. Go for breakfast and you will enjoy it.

We had a vegan, gluten-free and regular diner eating at this restaurant. They had a lot of choices for all of us. The food was fresh and delicious. It also arrived very quickly. The wait staff was very friendly
