The best of fresh, local ingredients....

A fabulous Bistro on the Pearl Street Mall in Boulder Colorado. I loved the Grgich Hills Estate 2009 Merlot paired with the most delicious Pork Chop I have ever tasted. I went here with a bunch of people from work, there were about 10 of us. I really like this restaurant because you can have as little or as much as you like, it is like tapas but you can also have larger portions, Their wine list is fantastic and the staff are extremely helpful. I had a panzanella salad... More

Mediocre best describes our recent birthday dinner. Our server clearly had too many tables to attend. We had to send two entrees back because they were grossly overcooked. The lamb chops and ribeye steak were ordered med-rare but were served med-well. Needless to say, the entrees were returned for another shot at grilling. The return pretty much destroyed the rest... Very good food, but an uncomfortable experience because of the servers' frosty hauteur. Would not recommend.

The ambiance is great and the food exceptional. A great dining experience. The dessert options are truly wonderful.

Boulder as a community has a grandiose view of its culinary space. Since they wait so long to get a table and pay so much...it must be good. Well, folks, at least at The Kitchen it is not so good. I ordered a sirloin steak accompanied by an earnest discussion of grass fed properties vs corn fed. Puhlease. I can... More

We enjoyed a holiday meal at the kitchen. The service was excellent. Just after we were seated my daughter commented on how noisy a near by large party was. Our server heard her and came over and offered us another table outside his seating area. We never needed to mention anything, the service was always one step ahead of our... More

The title says it all! It was AWESOME! And this is coming from 2 culinary school graduates (one of which is a chef/restaurant owner in Washington, DC). Fantastic service (we even had a drink with our server once he got off work) and he suggested a fun bar for us to go to afterward, as it was our first time... More

The Kitchen has several restaurants associated with it: The Kitchen (there are 4 locations), Next Door (3 locations) & Upstairs – each just a bit different. I enjoyed The Kitchen Upstairs which is more of a cocktail lounge serving amazing food from "downstairs". I went for "Community Hour" which goes until 18:30 every day – it takes $1-$1.50 off selected... More

While the Kitchen is expanding around the country I have found their food to be pretty much just average American food. Living around Foodie Boulder with some of the best restaurants you can dream of we are blessed with great food. I found the Kitchen's menu to be boring and only a couple dishes were of interest to us.
