My daughter and I were visiting and touring Colorado. We were looking for a decent place to eat late on a Saturday morning and discovered The Kitchen. The brunch was excellent, the ambiance was friendly, and the service by Lauren was truly outstanding !!! As an experienced world traveler, I highly recommend this restaurant.

It was our first visit to this restaurant; we were looking for a lite, early dinner. We were there during, what they call, the community hour(s); 3-5 PM; small meals, salads, and deserts. The food was really delicious, especially the tomato soup. Our server was very friendly, offered bread with our soup, and was knowledgeable about the menu items. $30... More

Great breakfast with Lemon Ricotta Pancakes... Bloody Mary! Sitting out side watching people go past. Perfect way to start the day!

Loved it in June; not as much in August. The quality wasn't as good. The best thing on the menu is the toffee pudding (recommended by other TA reviewers). This is a bistro, not fancy and it can be noisy. Service is 5 stars!

It was my first visit. One friend enjoyed the Curry Chicken salad. The Heirloom Tomato BLT was pretty good, but we didn't like the Sausage Strata. Maybe because after tasting the wonderful watermelon radish at Farmer's Market, my taste buds demanded something else. But on that wonderful fall day, this sausage dish just didn't work. Maybe I should try the... More

I dined at this restaurant as I was interested in the farm to table menu. I ordered the greens and fig salad, which came with beets, figs and dates. Greens were limp and tired, and the dish was mostly chopped ingredients topped with overly thick balsamic dressing. I could tell it had been squeezed out of plastic bottle. No bread... More

I loved this restaurant in the past. This time, not so much. I ordered gluten free lamb burger and was served gluten bun. Table almost finished meal before my GF version came. THEN I was told on Sunday the fries were not GF. Would have been helpful to know that when ordering. Not up to par for this quality of... More

Our kids took us here for our wedding anniversary and we had a food orgy. We ordered one small plate after the next: garlic fries, olives, charcuterie, steak, salmon, desserts....it was all amazingly good...fresh ingredients, cooked to perfection, unusual pairing of flavors, fantastic service. We also had specialty drinks, wine, 10 and 20 year old port....the meal was an experience... More

I took the misses to The Kitchen for a special meal and boy were we impressed. We ordered the Lamb and Gnocchi as our entree. The lamb was exquisite in its presentation. I have had some good meals in Boulder, but this was the BEST! The atmosphere was great beside the kid sitting next to us who was having a... More

Just love this place, and have since it opened many years ago. I remember being impressed with the chalk board on the wall listing the origins of the locally sourced food -- now commonplace around town but was a first for Boulder. Lunch for me is always a latte and Caesar salad... Never disappoints. More adventurous friends though always enjoy... More
