Always eat here when in Boulder.

The Kitchen never fails. An early dinner meant no waiting. Waitstaff knows the menu and is helpful when we are uncertain about a dish. My husband and I try as often as possible to split a dish. Not a problem here. Everything is fresh and plated attractively.

My husband and I had never gotten around to eating at The Kitchen despite the wonderful reputation of the restaurant. Don't get me wrong, it was a good restaurant but it was not a great restaurant as the national press would have you think. We had the halibut which was delicate but not especially flavorful. The beet nibbles were good... More

I had eaten at this restaurant's Denver location, so I knew the food would be great and it was. We had brunch on a Saturday and got there at 10:30 AM just before they started filling up. They don't take reservations except for large parties. The space is sunny and faces onto the pedestrian mall. I had the Kegeree which... More

I can't tell you how many times I have stopped in and ate at the Kitchen. This place is always on the mark, food is outstanding and prices are for me way to cheep for the quality of food. Then again I'm a New Yorker. My last dinner I had was the fresh trout, it was more a spiritual experience... More

Over the past few years, we have been eating our way through the Boulder restaurant scenario and had somehow managed to not quite hit The kitchen. On this trip we did work that in and we were extremely happy! This was hands-down the best meal we had during the 10 days we spent in town. Everything was super fresh and... More

Warm, clean, appealing decor at The Kitchen. Beautiful wood tables, nice lighting and excellent service. The menu choices are varied. The Wisdom Farm Chicken is actually the best chicken dish I have ever ordered in a restaurant. The chicken was cooked to perfection--moist and flavorful. When I compared notes with some colleagues the following day who had also eaten at... More

We stumbled across this find walking down Pearl Street and decided to get happy at Happy Hour. The bartenders were incredibly knowledgeable and offered me a sample of the wine as I was skeptical of $6 Happy Hour wine. Amazing! I am now on a hunt for Banyon Gewurtztraminer I can buy by the case. They were making a fascinating... More

We went to The Kitchen for lunch. When we came we were asked if we want community table or wait for a private table, wait was about 30 mins, so we picked community table. We ended up sitting behind a big table, just the three of us. :^) They served very delicious bread, it's super fresh, I think they bake... More

Based on the top ten list from a local resident, this was one of the three we picked out. Clean, fresh interior at tightly spaced but comfortable tables - most with a view of the open kitchen. Really connected to local and in-town suppliers and blessed with a second story off shoot restaurant and outdoor oven - we latched onto... More

We had the tasting menu which was amazing! We wondered if there would be enough food since tasting menus can sometimes leave you hungry but ended up feeling bummed that we couldn't finish everything. There was a salad, pasta, steak & dessert all of which were fantastic in their own way! Definitely recommend! Make a reservation because it is tough... More
