Simple bookstore, coffee bar

Nice people who work there, but on Pearl St. so you get to deal with vagrants- can add to, or subtract from, the experience. Most get it and if you wave them off they will move on with no words spoken. Earlier hours of the day it is a delightful place with motivated people who frequent and a very... read more

I love this place—it's a Boulder treasure. Wooden interior with a few places to sit in the actual bookstore—for book lovers, it's heaven—quiet peaceful with a great image of Kerouac by the bar.

A wonderful used book store. It's not very large but it has a wife variety of books in great condition. The prices are very reasonable and of you collect Folio Society volumes you can find quiet a few here at very good prices. We didn't didn't have coffee on this visit but the adjoining coffee looked inviting and comfortable.

I almost don't want to write a review of this place because it's not as busy as some of the other coffee shops in town. It's a well kept secret because so many people like to go to the Laughing Goat or OZO instead. I much prefer Trident. Amazing atmosphere, nice people, and a used book store attached to the... More

Wonderful place to browse through a collection of used books, and find something you want at a reasonable price. The cafe is an inviting place.

Trident is a great place to hang out, drink coffee, and have great conversation. We recently lingered on the front sidewalk with our iced coffee and caught up with friends. They also have seating inside and a back patio...

The Trident is the best community coffee house & used bookstore in Boulder. It is likely the oldest coffee house operating today; inception in 1980. It is very reflective of Boulder's past and present community. It has the local sensibility in the atmosphere, events, offerings and vibe. The atmosphere is cozy, comfortable & warm. People come to socialize, read, study,... More

I have fond memories of long conversations over coffee at the Trident. I have always been a fan of the attached bookstore where I have found many a treasure. My most recent visit was no exception. I had a great espressed beverage, great conversation, and found a couple new reads in the bookstore. This is a piece of Pearl street... More
