Always consistent but getting a little dated

I've been at the Walnut Brewery almost since it opened, first when I lived in Boulder as a graduate student and then over the years whenever I get to do back to visit. I commend the Walnut Brewery for being dog-friendly and for brewing great beer. Keep in mind that the patio is extremely small, is not completely covered, and is in front of the restaurant. While this is awesome for people watching, it may not be the best place for romantic or business conversation. The Walnut is a Boulder staple and will... More

We were in Boulder for the Creek Festival over the Memorial weekend and the weather was not kind. At several points the heavens opened and everyone dashed into neighbouring bars, shops and eateries. One such downpour took us into the Walnut Brewery where we were lucky to find a couple of seats at the bar. The place was crazy full,... More

We went here as a group of six on a Sat. night. Got seated promptly even though the place was busy. Good beer selection. I tried the flight of six beers & recommend it. The food is good comfort pub food. Good service, fair prices. We liked this place.

We've been here twice now for lunch and have been very satisfied. They haven't been overcrowded for either mid-week lunch. It is a really nice environment with great beer selections and an extensive food menu that has something for everyone. You could spend a lot of time here in relaxing comfort if you don't have to be anyplace else!

We just parked the car and walked to the nearest place that looked interesting. The beer was good, the food was good and the service was nice. We started with a Brown Ale and an Irish Red. We usually go for the IPA's, but decided to try a couple different beers. They were solid. The decor was fun and we... More

Where can you find specialty pizzas for $5? Here! The pizza crust was freshly made and filled with a variety of toppings. I had the Vegetarian Pizza topped with mozzarella and spinach. There are other kinds such as the Hawaiian. The beer is on happy hour also. Since I am not a beer drinker, I had a Margarita-- the mix... More

I went back to The Walnut Brewery to try the burger I missed out on my last visit. I wanted the 2am burger, which is a burger with hashbrowns , a patty, then bacon, cheese, and an egg on top. I ordered mine with fries and a side of green chili also. A darn good burger for sure. Service was... More

My family of 5 ate here a couple of nights ago. Overall very pleased. Fish tacos with salmon were outstanding. Beer sampler was good, but the best beers were outside the strictly-defined sampler. Never been somewhere where IPA was not part of the sampler. They have won awards for their brown, but the double IPA was the best beer. Good... More

Had a nice dinner at the Walnut Brewery, with my favorite, their Bison Burger. I've been stopping for lunch/dinner at the Walnut Brewery for years and years. I'm not from Boulder, and it seems like my standard goto is Walnut. Part of it is their beer, and part of it is their Bison burger. together it keeps me from trying... More
