Description: The name Hapa is derived from the Hawaiian term that describes a harmonious blend of Asian and American cultures. Like our name, our food reflects this dynamic combination. The menu is based on traditional Japanese cooking fundamentals which are then amplified, muted, or mixed with influences from many different styles of cooking until they are something completely new: they're Hapa. We have stretched the boundaries of creativity to develop dishes that defy all the rules while holding true to our roots. We hope that you will find our menu innovative, uninhibited, and distinctly fun! Incomplete parties will not be sat until complete.

With all the excellent reviews, I was very disappointed. The hostess kept me, and the family behind me, waiting for an extraordinary amount of time. So long in fact, that the sushi chef kept calling for her. She finally came and seated me next to a very drafty door on a cold day, even though the restaurant was mostly empty.... More

Hapa gave us free appetizers because they were running late and couldn't seat us promptly at the time we had reserved. We appreciated this courtesy. Food was all excellent and the atmosphere lively.

Right in the heart of Pearl Street lives a happy little sushi bar named Hapa. Everything about my recent meal there was a delight. The weather was perfection and I had been just reunited with my sweet daughter after spending months apart. The setup to a perfect experience was already in place! We were late to happy hour, but there... More

They have a better selection than what one might think of a Sushi House. They are NOT really a sushi house since they have many great choices of fusion entrees. Fresh interesting and different menu items.

One of Boulder's best sushi restaurants and in a great location on the Pearl Street Mall - nice outside dining when weather permits... Happy hour last until 5:30 which is great if you need to eat early - some rolls are 2 for 1 along with some appetizers but not the complete menu... Sushi and service are always great, even... More

Sushi was good, well presented and very tasty. Service was only OK, but they were very busy. Nice spot to sit outside and watch folks on Peal St.

The house salad with seared Ahi Tuna was delicious. There is some great outdoor seating so you can watch all the activity on Pearl Street. My sushi. I would go back again. partner had sushi and said it was very good.

Ate lunch here on a Sunday in July. Nice ambiance and people watching on Pearl Street. Excellent waitstaff. The rolls we had were OK, but nothing special. Prices were very reasonable - about $10 p.p. There are much better Japanese places nearby (Kasa, Zanmai, Sushi Toro) but the Pearl Street people watching at Hapa is the best.
