The name Hapa is derived from the Hawaiian term that describes a harmonious blend of Asian and American cultures. Like our name, our food reflects this dynamic combination. The menu is based on traditional Japanese cooking fundamentals which are then amplified, muted, or mixed with influences from many different styles of cooking until they are something completely new: they're Hapa. We have stretched the boundaries of creativity to develop dishes that defy all the rules while holding true to our roots. We hope that you will find our menu innovative, uninhibited, and distinctly fun! Incomplete parties will not be sat until complete.

great happy hour

We made it during their happy hour and were really pleased with the food. Tried the monkey brain, spider roll, kahlua pork and udon. Everything was delicious.

I'm wondering why this restaurant calls itself "hapa". In Hawaii, we use it to mean half, as in "hapa hauoli" ie half Caucasian but I wonder what they mean, half sushi? There are so many really good sushi restaurants in Boulder, not sure why you would eat sushi here, but the outside eating area is nice and good for people... More

I do like this restaurant in fact I think the ahi poke is fantastic . I am not that crazy about the atmosphere . They do have a good happy hour with starters being half price.. Unfortunately they do not honor happy hour on Sunday so I visited the sushi place across the way that does do Sunday happy hour... More

Our party of four had an excellent sushi dinner experience at Hapa this evening. Taylor was our waitress, however the entire wait staff and hostesses were very attentive. The back bar area is great for starting the evening off, or if there is a wait for a table. We started with thai chicken skewers and the crispy seared ahi (a... More

One of several Hapa sushi restaurants in Denver metro area. This one is on pearl street and is smaller than some of the others. Good menu and kid friendly. Can be loud, if you go on the weekend.

as a sushi restaurant in a landlocked state, this is a pretty good place. I was surprised by the portions (the Agadashi Tofu was 4x the size of a normal portion). that being said, I was disappointed by the utter fixation on Asparagus in most of the maki. It subverted the ordering of several things that would have otherwise been... More

It's a very pretty restaurant. They had a good range of sushi, but the roll I got didn't taste as good as it sounded. The gyoza appetizer wasn't very good either. Overall, it was okay. I probably won't go back.

Late night visit with live music, sushi and cocktails. Mango gin ginger cocktail was when having. I'm not a huge sushi fan, but a friend ordered a large variety that impressed me, nothing I didn't like and that's saying something. If it was lacking at all it was in service, waitresses were attentive when present but stretched a little thin... More

Very good restaurant, luckily they have more to the menu than just sushi. I had the kalua pork rice bowl and was very filling. Extensive menu with decent pricing. Waitstaff very professional and courteous. Will definitely return

A favorite stop when visiting our son at CU Boulder during the year. They are open late, always busy, and serve a wide array of sushi, rolls and drinks. Some favorite rolls are the Firecracker, the Booty Call (using an entire lobster tail) and the Spider (tempura soft shelled crab). Request a table near the front or a seat at... More
