I've been a regular at Tora since it opened. Well over 20 years. I believe I was responsible for the "see you tomorrow" on the uniforms. I've seen staff and owners come and go. The escalation of prices has gradually limited my visits from 3 to 4 times a week back in the good old days to a couple times... More

Very good sushi. They have a good selection of nigiri sushi and many, many rolls to selection from. Miso soup was great as well. I recommend.

People were great and the food was spot on. The atmosphere is worth the trip on its own. We will be back without question. If you are looking for the best land locked sushi in boulder you have found it here.

Tonight i had a combination of the smoked tuna, the green chili tempura roll and the salmon. It never disappoints and is always extremely fresh..the salmon buttery and almost as good as a coastal town.

I don't want to go into too great of detail of everything that happened my last time here, as it would make this review far too long, so I'll keep it relatively short. I used to really love this place, when it had the original owners running it, and also the second owners. I'd been a regular here over the... More

We stopped by for a lunch, the service was quick, pleasant, unobtrusive. The interior is just one of those cookie cutter, bland, uninspiring places, with individual tables next to each other. So if you are there during a busy times, there is not much chance for the privacy. The nigiri was just average, the rice out of which the gunkan... More

Was walking around and found Sushi Tora around the corner from Pasta Jays and wanted to give it a try. Service was good, Sushi was fresh and very good. Nice spot to take a break for a meal.

Salad that does not resemble anything from Japan, edo mamae served steaming hot, salty miso, and certainly not sushi-level fish, the ikura must come out of a jar. Maybe just too far from the ocean. On the plus side, their most ordinary sushi are the best, ginger is freshly sliced, a nice beer selection.

Thank goodness. Sushi Tora had a fabulous reputation for decades but lost it's game in the past few years - until now. The new owner brought back former sushi chefs from the glory years and the experience is wonderful once again. Chirashi is my favorite dish.

we stumbled across this place, as it is located in the Pearl Street Mall of Boulder Colorado. The restaurant was on a side street but close to action of the pedestrian mall. The restaurant was clean, busy, and the food was excellent. We had a caterpillar roll, which was wonderful, and the udon noodles were tasty with cilantro, and kale. Would... More
