Nice Business Dinner

I was Boulder on Business. Started with a Caesar Salad – not your normal, but okay. Main course was Filet Mignon with Béarnaise Sauce and mushrooms – good steak. Overall, it was a good meal, quiet restaurant, professional service, and nice ambiance. Expensive.

8 in a family birthday dinner, including 2- 10 year olds. The kids meals were fine, the adult meals were mediocre. Presentation was subpar, service was average, and the "before 7PM" dinner menu was not good. 2 of us ordered the "caesar salad" appetizer, and what came was a few pieces (literally!) on a plate dressed in a vinaigrette sauce.... The variety of food was limited and the prices were more than what I'd usually expect but it isn't the kind of food I would normally order. It's a great place for those who can afford it.

I have dined here several times and usually find the food quite good. I took a friend here for lunch and had the green chili this time. It was watery and average. My friend had a hamburger which she reported as being good. The waitress was not as attentive as I would have liked with coffee and water refills. They... More

Had a solid good meal at the Cork. Was V day, so place was really busy. Kind of strange that they wouldn't transfer the bar tab to the table when I asked them to. Steak and Prime Rib were really delicious. Desserts were sort of disappointing. Portions too big and lacking. I've had better experiences before.

The Cork is a Boulder institution - been around for decades, and there's a reason it sticks in the volatile, ever-changing Boulder dining scene. It does steak and bison exceptionally well, and it mostly sticks to that. Yes, there are fish dishes, but why go here for fish? The Cork is for red meat, when that craving hits. Although, that... Their menu has limited choices (5 entrees, one salad or soup, two options for desert). The atmosphere is Colorado classic. Our service for a large party was excellent and our dinners came relatively quickly. The salad was small, but had a nice mix of field greens, but only two or three grape tomatoes. The grilled salmon was nicely done, not... More

Serviceable but boring cuisine. If you like basic food with no surprises then this is the place for you. The cooking style, spicing and presentation were lacking creativity. The lamb chops were seasoned with....drum roll... salt, pepper and butter. I asked for medium rare and it was cooked medium well and tough. They offered mint jelly from the jar, fully... More
