My wife and I took our daughter and her partner out to dinner here on Christmas Eve. It was the first time at this restaurant for all of us. I ordered the Bouillabaisse which, in my experience, is a dish that you just can't find in a lot of restaurants. My wife ordered an eggplant dish with a tomato sauce,... More

We have not dined at L'Atelier in several years and now realize we've been missing something really special. We went for a holiday special wine pairing dinner and were simply amazed. All five courses and five wines were extraordinary. I cannot remember dining anywhere in many years having every dish and wine being so wonderfully prepared. The service was also... More

L'Atelier has a small and cozy feel to it when you walk in. Expect warm bread and the occasional amuse bouche! The plates, as the name l'atelier (the Artist's workshop) implies, are truly works of art with the taste to match. My favorite things to order for appetizers are the tuna carpaccio, the crab salad, and the lobster raviolis (which... More

What can I say that others have not already said? Excellent in all areas, wish we could afford to visit more often but it is and will remain near the top of our list for a special dinner once or twice a year. Food, atmosphere, service are all top notch.

The hostess did not make us feel well "hosted"; the waiter was a cold, and the booth a bit tight. The sounds of other tables made it hard to hear the others across from ours and while the food was good - especially the appetizers, the overall experience was, well, average.

The 2 velvet curtains rescued from an opera house help to make this table clothed restaurant the best place for quiet conversation, while providing consistently good service and a varied menu based in French cooking technique. Duck, veal, lobster, seafood, and indeed the chef will give you a plate of delicious vegies if you ask. Lunch is the best value... More

Happened to be staying very near L'Atelier. Heading for home after wandering Pearl Street in our bermudas and tennies, we decided we were hungry. Looking into L'Atelier with its white tablecloths and elegant decor, we decided we were a bit underdressed, even for Boulder. Wrong. Several folks sitting at one of the outside tables suggested we go in, so we... More

Have eaten here twice and have alway had great service and outstanding meals. Nice place for couples, family or meeting with friends. Small place, so large groups would be difficult to seat (greater than 6), but could be done and reservations recommended.

This was my first visit to L'Atelier, and I was really looking forward to it. However, I won't go back for a wine dinner. I can appreciate a leisurely, European-paced meal, but this one averaged 50 minutes between courses. Just too long to enjoy. The first three courses were very good, but the "wild king salmon" looked pale and farmed,... More

A quaint French restaurant, with ample seating. Our meal was truly magnificent, with exquisite taste and presentation. Satisfying portions of scrumptious appetizers; Roasted Quail & Lobster Ravioli to name a few. Our entree's were sure pleasure, cooked to perfection, sauces of unbelievable caliber, and again perfect portions. Then you might as well end it all with dessert. What's another pound!... More
