This was my first visit to L'Atelier, and I was really looking forward to it. However, I won't go back for a wine dinner. I can appreciate a leisurely, European-paced meal, but this one averaged 50 minutes between courses. Just too long to enjoy. The first three courses were very good, but the "wild king salmon" looked pale and farmed,... More

A quaint French restaurant, with ample seating. Our meal was truly magnificent, with exquisite taste and presentation. Satisfying portions of scrumptious appetizers; Roasted Quail & Lobster Ravioli to name a few. Our entree's were sure pleasure, cooked to perfection, sauces of unbelievable caliber, and again perfect portions. Then you might as well end it all with dessert. What's another pound!... More

We had a very relaxing 2 hour dinner. Everything was explained in detail when we had questions on the menu. The problem is nothing was stellar. The waiter was great and very friendly. The service took a little too long in between courses. When the waiter told us he was making our drinks I then understood why the slow service.... More

My family chose L'Atelier for a celebration dinner and it was outstanding in every way. The service was excellent and included a personal visit at our table by the chef. Our meal, which included appetizers, full dinner, desert, and several bottles of wine, was truly extraordinary. The food quality and presentation is second to none. Because of the occassion (local... We chose this restaurant to try a local well regarded French meal and we were not disappointed but rather surprised that this restaurant in tiny Boulder is in the league of Laurent is Paris or Le Perigord in NYC. The dining room is spotless and features tastfully displayed figurines collected by the Chef's grandmother in Europe. A dramatic floral display... More

We LUNCHED today at L'Atelier....it was a Monday....but I made a reservation the night before. I had requested a booth for the three of us(myself,DH and adult son), but supposedly that was not on the reservation notes. And so we sat at a table and it was fine. We began with a ham carpaccio, split between the 3 of us.... More

Creative chef Radek R. Cerny and his staff served culinary art at our dinner for a group of fifteen. After we were seated at a long attractive table, Cerny gave us an enthusiastic, good-natured greeting. That set a pleasant mood for the evening. The wait staff gave us plenty of time to study the menu and thoroughly answered our questions.... More

L'Atelier is a classic "French" restaurant (the chef is Hungarian but classically trained), yet the food is modern (nouvelle cuisine, lighter), always fresh and seasonal. The menu changes daily, but each time we've been, the food is wonderful. The sea bass I wanted last night came with tiny lentils, but I lusted after the celery-root puree, and it was not... More

I had the appetizer seared foie gras.... excellent. The waiter recommended a wine for me that was spot on! Loved it. Entree was the pork and my friend had the duck. Superb. Dessert was the bread pudding. The whole night was wonderful and there wasn't one thing that we ate that wasn't excellent. Service was excellent. Always there at the... More

We have been here 1-2 times per year (when passing through Denver) for several years and have never been disappointed. Last night was just another example. No trouble reserving a booth for early Sat night one week in advance. Friendly efficient hostess, followed by excellent service at the table. We shared 4 appetizers: mussels a la provencale-great sauce, mussels good... More
