OMG - Amazing food

My mouth is watering just thinking about Lucile's!! The chai latte is fantastic! We went back multiple times when in Boulder to drink them. The food is also amazing - I've never had a better Beignet (New Orleans style donut) with awesome homemade jam. I had the Totally Organic Breakfast - this... read more

Located in a conerted vhouse, with a waiting line almost every morning- it qualifies as a Bould local place to be, and Boulder is a foodie town. This place is a long staple in the fast changing world of restaurants in this town, so you may want to wait in line for a standard Louisiana fare, with tables cheek to... More

I went here on my first day in Boulder, and ended up returning two or three more times. I did try other spots in Boulder but always ended up back at Lucile's. Great blend of traditional breakfast with a bit of New Orleans influence.

Breakfast and lunch only. Prices reasonable. Entrees tend to creole. Had an omelet and partner had the shrimp and grits. Coffee (my yardstick for the overall rating) above average. No wait on a Wednesday afternoon. Pay to park, $1.25 an hour. The homeless seem to congregate in this area. Two blocks from the Pacific Street Mall, worth a walk.

Lucile's has great food but it is rich. When I go there my boyfriend and I share a main dish and get a side of beignets and it is enough food for us. Really nice atmosphere in an old house. Expect a long wait if it is the weekend.

Stopped here for breakfast on the advice from our VRBO host. It was fantastic! We went there for breakfast on the weekend and it was packed, but well worth the wait. They make a great chai tea, and the biscuit with the homemade jam was incredible. All the dishes looked great. Can't wait to go back when in Boulder again.

If you like creole/cajun style food then this is your place. It's located in a small house close to downtown Boulder and is very close to the mall. I enjoy their chicken gumbo and andoulle sausage gravy over grits. My daughter is big on Creole omelets and collard greens. Their beignets are good but not quite as good as the... More

Have been going to Lucile's for years, decades, actually. There's one in Longmont now and it's the same food, same kind of atmosphere. Restaurant in an old house, good fish, great biscuits, southern cuisine straight from the south. Be prepared to wait for a table though...

Always a joy when I visit Boulder and can have breakfast at Lucile's. From the beignets to the egg dishes there is something that will make your taste buds happy. Typically there is a wait but worth it.

This place is a staple in Boulder. It has been around for over 30 years, and the food is good every time. Prepare to stand in line on weekends unless you get there super early.I get the Eggs New Orleans every time (I should really change it up, but I love it). Eggs, eggplant, creole sauce and hollandaise. How can... More
