Lovely little place, there is always a wait. As far as food goes, biscuits were the highlight (huge) and everything else was ok, not great. My scrambled eggs and everything on the plate was cold. Don't try to order any of the lunch stuff (most of their Cajun/Creole selections) on the menu they give you before 11am. We were seated... More

We ate here recently on a day trip to Boulder based on a recommendation for a co-worker. My husband had the shrimp and grits and I had the eggs Jennifer. Both were delicious. We also started with beignets - which I wouldn't order again. First it's just too much food for two people, and they were just ok. The side... More

Looking for a cozy, homestyle, southern meal? This is the place to savor it. You'll feel right at home in the quaint Victorian surroundings. There is nothing remotely pretentious about Lucile's. It is just wonderful food made fresh. This is the "original" cafe and it is famous for its breakfasts. But, I had a hankering for some pan-fried trout with... More

We never miss going to Lucille's when we are visiting Boulder. It's probably 30+ years! Our favorites are Cajun breakfast and Eggs Sardou. Come hungry as you will want to eat it all.

Having travelled to boulder only once before and eating at Lucille's, I knew I needed to go back. Returned with some family and enjoyed a very nice, southern style breakfast. Everything was amazing, the beignets are always awesome an the biscuits are huge. (tip: black shirts will be powdered after eating beignets, residue of the awesomeness). Mahalo from Hawaii

My husband and I have been coming to Boulder at least twice a year for the last six years and we always make a point to eat breakfast at Lucile's. A quaint, old house in a residential neighborhood and a block or so away from the more touristy Pearl Street, Lucile's offers a wide selection of "cajun-style" breakfasts. Never having... More

Good, creative Cajun takes on traditional breakfast food. Kind and knowledgeable waitress. On a Saturday morning the hostesses were in dresses(!), which added to the already classy feel of the Victorian-style house that houses the restaurant.

I've been to Lucile's Cafe several times. It seems to be the go-to Sunday brunch place in Boulder. Maybe it's their proximity to the Pearl Street Mall. They're always crowded so they must be doing something right. This time, though, none of us cared for our meals.

I have always enjoyed the food at Lucile's but it is waaayyy past time to paint, change carpet and clean up the inside. Makes me wonder what the kitchen is like now a days.

Slight negatives. It's a bit warm, it's a bit cramped. That's said they are pretty small. I've not been to New Orleans so I can't compare but me and two friends really enjoyed the food. Grits were great, the special was special and the jams were jammin. I would recommend this place to anyone but warn them about the heat.
