I had high hopes for Flagstaff House taking my wife for her birthday. It was so exciting driving up the mountain to get to the restaurant. It was an adventure. The view from the restaurant was breath taking and had one of the best views I ever experienced in a restaurant. Unfortunately, the food wasn't good. The hostess was very... More

My husband and I got married at the Flagstaff House and have returned every year for our anniversary. We just celebrated our 10th anniversary at the restaurant and our experience was subpar for the Flagstaff House. Everyone was nice, but the service was lacking. The service is normally spot on and attentive without being overbearing. This last experience we felt... More

I proposed to my wife here, we returned ten years later to celebrate the anniversary of that event and this week we took both our families to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary here. Every time it has been an incredible overall experience from the deer outside and the view of the city and front range, to the service and the... More

Drive up Flagstaff Rd just past the overlook to arrive at this restaurant. There are several different places to sit, including a lovely terrace during the warmer months. The view over Boulder and the Front Range is impressive. The food is top-notch, including the many extras--amuse-bouches before the meal, palate cleansing cucumber sorbet the night we went, and a wonderful... More

We visit this restaurant each year either to celebrate one of our birthdays or our anniversary. The view is outstanding - nestled high above Boulder, a window table allows you to view the mountain range and sunset (during the late Spring and Summer). The food is absolutely delicious and the choices accommodate everyone. Wine list changes and grows with each... More

The service was excellent and synchronized which was very nice. Question soft shell crab and morels on a menu in late July at such a restaurant. Entree prices are exorbitant but the surprise courses that appear throughout the meal soften the blow. The wine list is outstanding but one can find offerings that will fit your menu selections that won't... More

We decided to splurge on our wedding anniversary & make the quick drive up to Flagstaff House Restaurant. We were not disappointed...and in fact...we were so sad to leave! There is nothing like feeling pampered during a meal, sitting at a table with an amazing view of the mountains to the west and Boulder down below. The wait staff took... More

We've been in many restaurants in Colorado :from Denver fine dining to Vail and Aspen. This one is the best restsurant out if them all. There is a restaurant with similar idea in Aspen called Pinecreek Cookhouse. But the one in Aspen was too"lodgy" for my taste. The Flagstaff restaurant in boulder has this mountain chic I was looking for with... More

Expect to be stunned by the service, menu and the prices. Worth it, but only every few years. Never been to any place even remotely like it. I was leery of a "hoity-toity" place like this, but they make it an amazing experience. Even the coffee was phenomenal; your own french press of Jamaican with 12 kinds of sweetener. Prepare... More

You can expect synchronized plate service, free mini appetizers throughout the meal and exceptionally well executed dishes beautifully plated. To boot, a wine list so extensive you will gladly take advice from the sommelier ! An unparalleled view and a stunning view going up and down the mountain. For all this, you will pay appropriately and hopefully tip generously!
