I often frequent this restaurant for the lunch-time buffet. This is the only Indian restaurant in Boulder where I can reliably know what has onions and what does not. That means a lot to me since I am allergic. Secondly the lunch buffet is quite nice with different vegetable dishes, spinach, samosas, deserts if you like. It's an easy way... More

20 minutes to be greeted. 20 minutes until my order was taken. 45 minutes later the wrong food was brought to my table, the table who did order that food had been there for 10 minutes total. If this place is good,it must only be for the buffet.because we never ate.

Most worst Indian food ever!!! And I really mean it! We had ordered dinner to go and had order tandoori chicken, garlic naan, and butter chicken. Tandoori chicken and butter chicken looked like they were leftover from lunch buffet..especially after requesting to make everything fresh..Doesn't deserve 1 as its rating..

My group of 6 had a good dinner here, but it certainly wasn't the best Indian food we've had.  We enjoyed the samosas, vegetable pakoras, chicken saag, and chicken tikka masala the most.  The service was friendly, and they even gave us some rice pudding on the house for dessert.  The naan was so-so and the biryani wasn't very flavorful.... They are really stingy on the buffet and let multiple items on the line go empty before they refill which may take 10 minutes and then they are gone with the next 2 people. baked chicken was very dry - seemed days old.

My wife and I dined at India's Clay Oven tonight, using a Living Social voucher which only saved us ten dollars. India's Clay Oven is in the former location of the longtime Boulder Indian restaurant, the Royal Peacock. It's not a great location, as it's in a strip mall on the edge of town. Our dinner was very, very good.... More

My husband and I occasionally eat at India's Clay Oven for lunch. Weekdays or Saturdays, food on the buffet is plentiful, delicious and reasonably priced. I do not know the restaurant's schedule on Sundays. We have always encountered good variety on the buffet. The buffet makes it easy to have a sit-down meal and still stay on schedule. The atmosphere... More

This restaurant opened in Boulder about 2 years ago and last night a friend and I decided to give it a try. We were delightfully surprised at the food. The decor is okay and comfortable, but the food was delicious. We ordered a vegetable platter for an appetizer which came with two samosas and 4 vegetable dumplings. The samosas were... More

My wife and one other couple tried this restaurant on a week night. It was not crowded and we were quickly seated and given menus. We ordered two orders of vegetable samosas for a first course (two samosa per order for $3.50). The samosa were very tasty, but I don't think they were made on the premises. We then ordered... More

A disclaimer. I don't eat Indian food. But my son chose to go hear for his lunch break. It was clean, the selection was adequate. The crowd was decent. The food acceptable. They worked hard to accomodate my wife's picky pallate.
