Must try the Jerky!

First timer to Backcountry Pizza. First, the beer list is amazing, something for everyone. We tried the jerky appetizer, roasted garlic and sweet hot , and it literally melts in your mouth. I would have been satisfied to eat jerky for my meal...i couldn't get enough. We ordered the Nedetteraian... read more

There were about 50 draft beers on tap! The atmosphere was casual and the waitstaff were friendly. We went with the grandchildren and everybody had a good meal. We liked that you could build your own pizza toppings.

Went there for lunch, and can't say I enjoyed it. The service was poor (very slow, no soda refills offered until AFTER we'd already finished eating, plus a member of our party never got the mustard he asked for). I got the calzone, which wasn't very good, but the other two people got hamburgers, and thought they were OK. The... More

Atmosphere: Good old boys steakhouse design. That's exactly what it used to be (Dolan's) and it doesn't appear to have been remodeled. Large place w very separate bar/ dining areas. . Could use some work esp. the booth seats, many of which are torn up, exposing foam. Men's room is exceptionally close quarters! The outside entrance is rough looking. Design/decor... More

Incredible beer menu, got the steak chili (just the right amount of heat), and a slice of mushroom pizza. Tried a sample of one beer, not to my liking, then ordered a shandy that was truly delicious. The wait staff was attentive, but not overly so, and the pizza was great! A wonderful visit.

Calzone, pizza and beer, what more do you need?! The sauce is an excellent balance of sweet and spicy. Topping choices for every pizza lover. They even have gluten free choices. And the beer menu is a novel of varieties. Excellent place for all!

New Jersey, with all respect to NYC and Chicago, is the best pizza place in the world! How do I know that? Because I am from there. There's an area in Northern NJ that is known as the Italian Triangle because the population is mostly Italian residents, so you know the pizza has to be good because of all the... More

They have a choice of more than 50 beers on tap but all I tasted did not taste very well. I doubt that they can keep 50 beers fresh on tap. I did not try the pizzas but menu cards looked old and dirty. Place was rather noisy and not very clean. Not enough outside seating.

Loved the beer choices and the great advice in choosing a perfect beer. We ordered pizza and was a bit disappointed adtwr reading the reviews . Too Heavy on the cheese and we prefer a crispy thin crust. But others prefer this style.
