We had a meat pizza (had a catchy name but forgot what it was called!) and the fried macaroni wedges. Highly recommend each! Very tasty. We ordered a large pizza for 2 adults and a teen and we couldn't finish it all, and we had just got back from a 2 hour hike! Portions were very generous. The beer menu... More

Colleagues reserved tables in the backroom for a post-meeting beer & pizza gathering. The waitstaff was very knowledgeable about the MANY beers available and willing to bring a sample on request. The guy helping my table was perhaps a bit too knowledgeable to the point of almost taking offense if you didn't agree with his recommendation. Maybe this comes from... More

What a great addition to Boulder's dining scene -- a casual place with great pizza (not some kind of fancy artisan pizza -- just really good, traditional pizza), arcade games for the kids, and an AMAZING beer list for the grown-ups. We eat here about 3-4 times a month and it's always a great time. The apps & sandwiches are... More

This is an excellent place to get some good pizza, and a wide assortment of very unique, and hard-to-find, beer on draft. Super cool people, music and vibe.

Let me start off by saying that I love Belgian Beers and Backcountry has the best selection around and a lot of them on tap. No other place is even close. With that said, I will add that the pizza is really good, as well, and youi can order by the slice or as a pie. They also have really... More

Much bigger place that we expected, and very popular. Book ahead is good advice. We were lucky - a last minute crowd of 8 and we had a big table off to the side , almost a private room. Even their medium pizza is enough for 3 or 4 adults, everything about this place is big! Atmosphere too - everyone... More

A very nice pizza restaurant in Boulder with a huge selection of beers on tap. We enjoyed a very good garden specialty pizza. Customer service was excellent.

We arrived to Boulder on 12 September during the rain/flooding and Backcountry Pizza was our first stop. The staff was very friendly and informative, the beer selection was excellent and the pizza was great as well!! Our server did a great job of recommending certain beers based on our likes/dislikes and the selection was amazing. Will definitely go back when... More

Attracted by beer selection and returned again due to good service and overall pleasant atmosphere. Informed staff and wide variety of beers on tap, made for a pleasant experience. Wide variety of seating areas from front bar to larger dining area in the back.

Started our visit to Boulder at Backcountry Pizza and Tap House. Advertised as the "most taps" in Boulder and they do seem to live up to the billing. Better yet, the taps are well curated. I had excellent drafts of Green Flash Founders Linchpin and The Bruery Trade Winds Tripel. With good beer as a start, we started with an... More
