Dropped Son Of At School

We wanted a really nice meal the night before we left my son at college and we got it! Loved the food and I have to say the service was great. I read some criticism about snobby service but that was not our experience at all. We ordered the rib eye and a few sides for the boys and I... read more

We travel a lot. We eat in restaurants across the country. With that said, Oak was a terrific surprise. Excellent staff that takes care of each other. They don't care if it's "their table." The entire staff is constantly coming over to refill your water, wine -- ask how's everything going... what a wonderful way they've trained their staff. The... More

Absolutely delicious! We decided late afternoon to make an online reservation for this restaurant. I made my decision after reading TripAdvisor reviews. We had the Lomi Lomi appetizer which blew me away! The flavours were incredible. The main course was also soooo good. Dessert the same ! I love the open kitchen concept in a restaurant. It's noisy and lively... More

Oak is always excellent. On a recent visit I started with the kale salad and my wife had gazpacho. Both were excellent, the kale salad had sliced apples and nuts and was perfectly dressed; the gazpacho was very tasty. My wife had the bacon wrapped tenderloin as a main course, she described as 'one of the best meals I've ever... More

Always busy, always consistent great dining experience in every way. Visit on every trip to Boulder ( 5-6/year). Only wish a few more items could rotate on the menu to see what else the chef has in his creative mind.

I really enjoyed our dinner. Made a reservation 2 h in advance online. Service was good but the food was amazing. No unknown combinations: pork belly + hoisin + watermelon = fantastic. Pork tenderloin + peach, yes please! Charred green beans are always welcome! One word: more please!

Had a lovely lunch at a charming restaurant. The tomato, peach, mozzarella salad was amazing. Such a clever combination of items. The shrimp and grits were the best my Southern raised wife had ever eaten. I enjoyed a delicious brisket sandwich. We will definitely return. The fried pickles that many others around us ordered looked good as did the mocha... More

It was hard to get into, apparently someone in our party had to pay someone off. And yet the three hours we were there, empty tables were everywhere. The food is decent though not amazing. The service is fine though not amazing. The kind of struggled to cater to a vegan. Good wine.

Went for happy hour. This time we were "snubbed" like last time regarding a better table....there was not a soul in the place when we got there and also when we left... besides the 3 of us. Then to add insult to injury, we had to ask 3 people to turn down the music, our food came out too well... More

First time at Oak, and we were quite pleased. Most importantly, the food and the service were both excellent. Fried pickles? Yes, please! The market salad with fresh local peaches was lovely, and the bread was very tasty. My pork tenderloin was juicy, cooked to a perfect medium rare, and served with a very nice but not overpowering sauce. The... More
