I had an amazing dinner recently while trying the Salt for the first time. I had a rotisserie chicken meal that was incredible. The service was spectacular and the ambiance was very nice. They even have oak fired up in the back that lends to a very nice smell, especially on a cold Winter evening.

The first items brought to our table were onion rolls with black sea salt and butter and they were amazingly delicious. I ordered the evening special of the lamb shank ragu with garlic sauteed greens and the meal was outstanding. The grasshopper pie dessert was delicious. Our waiter provided excellent service and had good knowledge of the menu. I recommend... More

We visited for a Sunday night dinner - no wait but it got quite full soon after. The room is relatively small so I would definitely make reservations if your heart is set on eating here. They procure as much local foods as possible and have some nice selections. That being said, the menu is relatively limited with unique trendy... More

My daughter, who lives outside Boulder, made a reservation for the 4 of us. She told me it would be expensive, and it is, but it was an amazing meal. She also said they make a commitment to source locally, use humanely-raised meal and the freshest ingredients. Three of us started with wine, mine being the house white, Salt's Trap... More

Love the atmosphere of Salt and the surrounds ... gave a very "typical" Boulder experience where you overhear patrons discuss their ethical food. Burgers where to die for -- alas, something had to die -- that is the only drawback.

We visited salt on Christmas eve and loved it. The atmosphere was festive without being artifical or overwrought. The food was outstanding, from the lobster risotto to the lamb. The wine list was interesting and accessible. And the service was helpful and attentive without being intrusive. Highly recommend

We made a reservation thru Open Table thinking we would be in time for Happy Hour only to find out that we were seated in the dining area which did not apply to Happy Hour. When we expressed our disappointment, no alternative was offered to us. Otherwise our food was enjoyable but nothing exceptional, drinks from the bar were okay,... More

We visited SALT recenetly for a business dinner. Unfortunately, we didn't get reservations so we waited almost an hour before getting seated (on a Tuesday night). The restaruant is in a fun part of town and I love the historic feel to the area. The food was good - but not that memorable.

I went there on a business trip and had a great meal. Fine food with local natural type food. Great atmosphere and service. Convenient location to the Pearl Street Mall. Definitely recommend!

We sat outside as the wait to be seated inside was over an hour. Our corner table was crowded and waitstaff constantly bumbing into our chairs. Food mediocre not bad but nothing special. Fish was greasy as were the french fries. Lamb burger strong in taste and again fries greasy. Special of day Brisket was the best choice served with... More
