We very much enjoyed our dining experience. The exterior of the restaurant is a bit sketchy, and the location next to a Subway leaves one worrying a bit. However, we were pleasantly surprised upon entering the restaurant. One has a choice of traditional seating, or low seating on cushions. We had Hummus for an appetizer, a couple of different soups,... More

I went as a guest of a friend, we were greeted by the owner, and allowed to choose our table, traditional or cushions in Moroccan style. The orders were quickly prepared and the presentation was excellent. Some wonderful new tastes to experience. In discussing spices with the server as we were ordering more of the great Moroccan Beer, he told... More

After reading Tripadvisor reviews we decided to go have a romantic dinner at The Tangier. We arrived at 7pm and were told the kitchen was closed. huh? The waiter returned and told us that they could still serve us.. Thank you. The restaurant was empty; there was a happy group of ladies and an angry couple. They were fighting loudly... More

It was a spontaneous get together with my friend. We arrived before 6 pm on a Monday. We are both adventurous spirits and loved the interior at first sight. It is a small restaurant with good ambiance, floors covered with oriental rugs, ceiling with colorful fabrics. Take into consideration that you will be giving up your shoes at the door.... More

This is one of the best restaurants in Boulder. But, you are missing out if you do not get the $60 meal for two... and choose floor-seating. Don't be one of these lame-o's who sits in the table section (not on the floor) with only a single entree. If you come to Tangier, go for the full experience! You won't... More

I highly recommend this restaurant. A very unassuming store front hides this jewel. Inside, you'll find a very nicely decorated restaurant with a warm ambiance. The food is excellent along with the service. My daughter, who attended CU Boulder, had wanted to try this restaurant, but it was out of her student budget. Perhaps the restaurant could try offering a... More

We've been to Tangier several times. The food is authentic Moroccan cuisine. We had the chicken bastilla, which is wonderful. The tagine dishes take time, but they're worth it. And the mint tea tastes just like in Morocco! Ask Kahlil; he'll tell you how he makes it. The ambiance is truly Moroccan. There's an option to sit on the floor... More

I heard of this resturant from the dancer who is fantastic. She dances only on weekends and you have to buy the set meal of every course for $60. We came back during the week because the decor was super exotic. The big sign at the door states "you must be nice or leave". Huumm. Lots of incidents i imagine?... More

On a week long vacation in Colorado we're looking to eat at all local places...this one was great. We found it through trip advisor and were not disappointed. The food was fantastic. We were a party of 4 and everyone tried something different. Their soups are not to be missed, and you should order them as the main meals take... More

Very cozy/authentic atmosphere combined with outstanding food as well as friendly staff, its a must on your list when visiting Boulder. You can chose between sitting on puffs or regular chairs. The service is excellent and we received good recommendations. Other guests have been regulars and helpful as well, which we greatly appreciated as the menu is extensive. All dishes... More
