This is the local wine bar. The food was good we had the braised short ribs - loved those with a combination of sweet potato and traditional potato on the side. Wasn't as fond of the dates, but there are so many selections, you will find something to enjoy. The staff was eager to please.

Our only option for breakfast in BC at 11am. Will not return. Instant oatmeal (yuck) is just some warm water poured over raw oatmeal. My companions had similar complaints. Their egg sandwich and burrito were bland and tasted like frozen scrambled eggs. Not what you'd expect in the Beaver Creek Village. Won't return to this place for breakfast.

Went there after a long day of sightseeing. Wonderful food and service. Andrea was our server and was great. Very outgoing and interesting. Will go again tomorrow!

We sampled some great wines using the wine vending machine (I am sure there is a better name for this). You obtain a card with credit, and you use this card to purchase glasses of wine from 16 different wines all vacuum sealed for maximum freshness. It was great, but can be very expensive... beware. Our meal consisted of ordering... More

My wife and I just had lunch at The Metropolitan in Beaver Creek Village. What a joy to the taste buds it was! We sampled a variety of tapas dishes from different ends of the earth - from a caprice beat salad to beef short ribs to a flatbread topped with wonderful seafood to pulled pulled pork tacos - every... We are visiting from Scotland for a couple of weeks' skiing and found this excellent restaurant and bar! It is so refreshingly different from the standard après ski-type venues it's a real treat! Kenny (the manager) stopped by to say hello and our server Steve was just brilliant, making recommendations both for drinks and the tapas - all of which... More

From the minute we walked in The Metropolitan and were greeted by Kelley, a hostess so friendly and helpful we thought she was the owner, we knew we had found the perfect place for our tired, hungry bodies after a long day of skiing! The menu is quite extensive and it was difficult for us to make choices. I am... More

Not the usual cheese-based fare Our 2nd visit and I would say the menu has improved. It is quirky (tapas-ish but heartier dishes) dishes such as short rib with sweet potato (looked good, wish I'd ordered it), boar ribs with mushroom risotto (was really good) My only suggestion would be to insert some kind of linkage on the menu to... I was on a ski club trip (group of 38) in late February, & we arranged an after ski gathering at the Metropolitan, with a catered menu of their small plate offerings. What a treat! This was not your usual "bar food" appetizers, but some true gourmet treats - such as duck confit tacos. They also have a very nice... More
