Good Food

This is a fabulous spot for lunch while skiing. The restaurant is located in the Ritz Carlton Hotel and is easy to ski to. It's a very busy place so you need to make a reservation. The food was great and the restaurant has a nice casual feel and you are quite welcome in your ski boots.

During a recent trip to the Beaver Creek area, we tried for dinner reservations at Spago but were unsuccessful. On a whim, my wife and I stopped into the bar after our morning ski runs. The bar food is amazing but the real treat is the 'off-menu' cocktails. Our bartender (Jason) was incredible and after several cocktails (Mommies Little Helper,... More

Having eaten at the flagship on Sunset many moons ago I was expecting a bit more. Given the location and being inside the Ritz, it feels like an uber expensive restaurant and the menu does not necessarily excite. Grab one of the excellent pizzas at the bar.

Spago was amazing. We took our 2 year old with us to celebrate her birthday, and the staff took extra special care of her. The food from start to finish was excellent. Definitely order the pommes aligot--potatoes, cheese, more cheese, and more even cheese = yummy. You can't go wrong with anything you order at this restaurant.

I was at Spago's a week ago for dinner and the meal was outstanding. We had the chef's tasting menu with a wine pairing. Each dish (there were 9) were perfectly prepared, and just blew me away. The sommelier was fantastic and paired each dish perfectly. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a great dinner. Also if you're a... More

This was a nice restaurant, but not exactly what I was expecting. The atmosphere was nice, and very casual. We started with the corn soup which was delicious. The bread basket had some nice choices, including onion bread and pretzel rolls. My husband had the Peking duck special and I had the filet. Both were very well prepared and large... More

Our daughter and son-in-law took us to Spago as a special surprise treat. Wolfgang was not there, but some excellent chefs were. I had the fillet, which was one of the best I have ever had, and a corn soup which was outstanding. Others had a Colorado bass wonderfully prepared and presented. Service was impeccable.

Perhaps it is the "off season" curse that befalls otherwise decent restaurants....I imagine it is a challenge to keep a stock of fresh ingredients if clientele ebbs and flows...Perhaps, we are truly spoiled to live in a region with exceptional meat and harvest sources.....However, this is at a Ritz Carlton Hotel and there should only be the trademark stance of...
