We are a neighborhood-oriented, made from scratch, casual restaurant. The feel is young, hip transcending the perception of BBQ restaurants past. Serving a variety of draft and bottled microbrews representing local breweries and popular brews from great BBQ regions (Texas, the Carolinas, Memphis/Arkansas and Kansas City) we feature an approachable wine list and a full line of spirits. The menu is driven by the chefs and their Southern roots, the Great American BBQ traditions as well as seasonal and regional products.

The dining room is small but intimate with bar & booth & table/window seating options & attractive art.

Service was fine. They were very busy but did not seem overwhelmed. We had corn muffins, ribs and Mac and cheese with crispy ends. Sorry, but we get better ribs in Oklahoma. After reading reviews we were disappointed.

A business trip took me to Carbondale over the winter and my client suggested we grab dinner at Smoke. We'd actually had a late lunch so we basically opted for appetizers. The place was jammin', mostly filled w locals and a smattering of tourists (it was ski season after all)...and was really loud. If noise is bothersome to you, you... More

Well worth the drive from Aspen/Snowmass. I was a judge in the World Barbecue Contest in Memphis for three years. Smoke has mastered the art of the smoker. Exceptional Brunch. The rib's and pulled pork are world class. They offer several Mac and Cheese dishes, but the one with rib tips is without equal. Entree salads are very good. Hard... More

We stopped by to have breakfast at this establishment trying to find a good start to the day. We were going to head up to the Maroon Bells and check out the lakes. My wife who is gluten free had a good meal and I had Huevos Rancheros which was awesome! We left for Maroon Bells for a morning climb...... More

This place is professionally run and fantastic eats, I can't think of Anything I'd change about it. I uploaded a photo of the last time I was there. Moscow Mule... YUM, they know how to make them... they don't all taste the same y'know.

This place was pretty good, the brisket was just a hair dry but the jalapeno sausage was delicious. They have an assortment of sauces to try but the 'Texas' sauce was not like any I have had in Texas. The Carolina sauce was good, the Georgia mustard was good, the KC sauce was good (I personally don't like the sweet... More

The Rio Grande bike trail in the Roaring Fork valley is a gem of a bike path. We drive from Vail Valley 50 minutes over to Basalt so we can ride it to Aspen and back. Basalt has some yummy restaurants and today we found Smoke, by far our favorite post 30 miles on the bike lunch. They have a... More

Oh man...this restaurant is the best for smoked meat dishes. Sooooo good!!! I went to Smoke while in Basalt on business. I ordered take out, but, had a very hard time deciding what to order because they had so many good things on the menu. Went with the Philly Cheesesteak and was not disappointed. If you are a cheesesteak fan... More

The BBQ was very good. I got the sausages and my friend got the ribs. They were both very good. Not as a good as you are going to find in Kansas City - but great BBQ for the region. The beans were really good and the bacon wrapped shrimp was excellent. The service was prompt and attentive. Very pleasant... More
