I can say that food was between very good and excellent but that service was between awful and disappointing. No one greeted us when we walked in, the waiter we approached pointed to a table without saying a word, 2 waitresses were equally indifferent and when one of them said that we would have to order our food quickly because... This is one of my favorite restaurants in the valley. I always try to eat here whenever I'm in town. Consistently great food. In the summer it's fun to sit outside. Great atmosphere. Good bar area.

This was supposed to be a restaurant of Spain and Italy. We ordered a cheese plate from Spain and no one in the restaurant could tell us what kind or cheeses were on the plate. The food was very mediocre, and the service wasn't must better.

I had dinner here about 2 months ago with one other person. Everything about this experience was terrible. When we came in, we were greeted by the owner, who is very friendly, really the only positive part of the evening. We sat outside, and then stuff got bad. Our waitress was incredibly rude. Had the sort of attitude like we... More

Eating on the lovely front porch of this special place is one of the outstanding experiences of the summer. On a beautiful night, with twinkling lights the atmosphere couldn't be better. It is quiet enough to have conversation, and a relaxing place to dine. The food was prepared to perfection and we enjoyed all that was ordered. The service was... More

Eating outside on the front porch at Tempranillo is one of the delights of the summer. It is rarely crowded during the day - and I can only assume that people who are not familiar with the restaurant (and dressed in "outdoor garb") are put-off by its nice appearance. Don't be! You are missing a lovely, reasonably-priced lunch spot with... More

We went to Tempranillo this past weekend with friends expecting great dining experience. We were greatly disappointed. The tapas were good, salads OK (bit small and under dressed) but we had OK to horrible entree experiences. At $25-30+ plus per entree in Basalt they should be great. My special fish was overcooked/very dry over a bed of soggy greens, the... More

This is such a lovely spot for summer dining and features Spanish and Italian cuisine. One of the best features of this restaurant is their patio, which reminds me of many dining spots back east along the shore that have wonderful summer patio dining. You will want to get their early or make a reservation so you can get a... More

6 of us went to dinner here. We had reservations and got there before 9:00. For Starters, 2 of our party ordered the Greek Salad and one ordered the Beet Salad. When these starters came, they were drenched in salad dressings and absolutely inedible. They were sent back. For our main courses, I ordered the Pappardelle with a variety of... More

I have been to many restaurants in the Roaring Fork Valley, and this was by far one of my favorite. We sat on the bar side and our server was Brad (who is also the bartender). He was very attentive and got all of our orders out quick and on time. He knew all the specials, wines, and menu to... More
