We had no idea going into this restaurant that it would be one of the best meals ever. For those staying in Aspen, it is worth the drive! Also, Brad, the bartender, was impressive as well as the other waitstaff.

We dined here with friends (2 couples). Love the tapas style and the menu was really fun to sample. Wine list is all Spanish and has great variety. Server was very helpful in navigating and helped us select great wines to try. I would return. Seemed like a great locals date spot.

First - hats off to the bartender who makes terrific signature cocktails and is always personable. However, I have to say the food went downhill on the last 'Ladies Nite' I attended. Maybe the regular chef was out sick? Lots of people with the flu in the RFV these days...... My Caesar's salad was limp (and there was no fresh... More

When I lived in Aspen I rarely went out because I could never afford anything, then I discovered this gem downvalley in Basalt! I would go every Wednesday with one of my girlfriends for Ladies night where everything was 50% off! the food was outstanding, the drinks were delicious and the Scottish bartender who wore the kilt was hilarious! I... More

Had a wonderful Apre Ski at Tempranillo with Bradley as our bartender. Do you know he has never owned a pair of pants in his life. Love that he wears a Kilt to bartend.

This is a local Basalt restaurant with a fun & varied menu...lots of Tapas, as well as larger entrees with a Spanish flare. Good wine list, too. Nice bar area with a knowledgable bar-tender, and a long 'community table' for singles or if you do not wish to wait for a more private table. Highly recommend reservations for parties of... More

This was our second visit to Tempranillo. The menu is unique with lots of traditional spanish offerings. Likewise the large wine list is mostly from Spain and is broad and well chosen. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is special. The setting is inviting and relaxing whether you sit outside on the porch or inside by a fireplace. Service... More

I loved this restaurant, beautiful no matter what season amazing food and very Spanish. My family and I have known the owners from the night before the place opened, Javier is very Spanish and Laura is the picture of hospitality. On our trip to Spain we realized how amazing their food is! Your lucky that you can fly into aspen,... More

The menu is unique, but not over the top. This is Spanish cuisine, not Mexican. So, don't look for a chimichanga on the menu. It's much more sophisticated than that. I had Paella Valenciana, a seafood paella, which was excellent. The rice was cooked perfectly - still light and fluffy. The seafood was abundant, and nicely spiced. A great dish.... More
