Unique menua

Tapa's spot, good bar. Monday's 50% off menu. Consistent quality and good service. Great summer lunch and dinner place. Basalt is a quaint town with lots to do and see.

We called in for a late reservation for 7 people on New Years day and talked to Laura (one of the owners) and she said she was full but to come over and she would fit us in. We got there and we had a great table preset for us in the bar area. The place otherwise was packed. There... More

I went to this place for dinner with a friend during the winter. We sat in the bar area which was super fun! Service was really nice! Ask about the specials they usually have a lot to offer. I have had a few tapas: calamari, tuna tartare, bacon wrapped dates, and a grilled shrimp special with mushrooms and arugula.

I love the restaurant space but unfortunately there were not a lot of people there so it just felt empty. I wish they had more Spanish food and less Italian- kind of disappointing. For a couple of glasses of wine and one measly tapas it was quite expensive! After living in Spain I guess I expected more since the owner... More

Great Spanish food. Make sure to try the Paella and the gnocci. Saul is an awesome waiter - great recommendations, great service

This was the fourth dinner over several years that we enjoyed at Tempranillo. We invited a former student to join us, and we ordered diverse dishes. All were rated very highly, All our tapas, the manilla clams in tomato sauce, Spanish meatballs, and grilled shrimp were generous helpings each with unique flavors. My wife enjoyed immensely the chicken with goat... More

Tempranillo still has some of the nicest outdoor seating in the Roaring Fork Valley (and certainly in Basalt!). So we keep coming back - hoping for some consistency in this a-bit-overpriced local restaurant. Swung by for lunch - had 2 vegetarian salads. Good, very fresh, but over-priced for the portions served. Great bottle of wine - but again, a bit... More

Food is good but it's not Aspen, had lunch there, no alcohol, no appetizers, no desserts. $40.00 per person. Definitely not worth it. Expect that kind of pricing in Aspen. Not Basalt.

Basalt is full of fun, tasty restaurants for such a small town. This one is a total treat. There are at least 10 entree salads from which to choose for a delightful lunch. My friend and I chose the spinach and the beet. We were both pleased. Creative dressing, ingredients and presentation. The house white wine was delicious and generous.... More

Food is ok, mostly Topas type food. Wait staff is uninformed on menu. I ordered Crab Cakes, I asked how many came with dish they said 3, it came out with 2. No apology or attempt to remedy the situation. Owner was also very rude!! And seemingly skeevy.
