When traveling in this part of Colorado, the Cutthroat Cafe needs to be on your spots to have breakfast! Mostly locals in there, but who needs a chain tourist spot when you can have great food and good coffee?! The menu has a good variety of many breakfast choices, but don't forget the blackboard specials; one I went for was the... More

What a surprise! The food and staff are GREAT! Felt like a member of the family. The value was good, as well. I am definitely going to make this a regular stop from now on.

This is always our first stop on any mountain trip from Denver up Hy 285. It's about an hour up the hill and is in a perfect place for a stop to stretch your legs. This is a local cafe with fantastic food and fantastic service. When you're disappearing into the mountains for a few days this is just the... More

This place is fantastic. It is just what you want in a mountain town dining experience. The food is consistent and good. They hire mostly local high school students as wait staff, and they are usually down to earth and friendly and a little rough around the edges. The owner is an avid angler (as the name would imply) and... More

Great little cafe directly off the highway. It's an old school type of place, where short order cooks still receive orders vocally. The food is great, fresh and prepared perfectly. The service is just plain phenomenal, you can tell the wait staff is very experienced and puts the customer first. Breakfast seems to be the most popular and it's definitely... More

The Cutthroat Cafe is fantastic for breakfast. They have great, well known choices, and several they have come up with themselves. They have a very friendly staff, ready to help. The prices are great and the time needed for the meal is small, if that's what you need.

As a local, I've been appreciating the Cutthroat Cafe for many years. They provide solidly decent food at solidly decent prices. I especially like that they serve breakfast until noon during the week and until 2pm on the weekends. We should keep in mind that first and foremost, they are a breakfast and burger joint. This is a simple, down-home... More

As a local, I love this place and with spring/summer upon us, it gets busy for breakfast with campers, anglers and the like. There's a reason why: It's great food with a super-friendly staff.

I've mainly been to the Cutthroat for breakfast. It's good food, simply served by friendly staff. I like the biscuits and gravy and the chili rellenos are decent. Cutthroat get it's name from Cutthroat trout. You're made to feel welcome there. Atmosphere is family oriented. Well lite. There is a small patio out back.
