We stopped in for breakfast. Carol had the eggs over easy with bacon and a side of biscuits and gravy. The eggs were a little too greasy, but tasty and the 4 huge slices of thick bacon were delicious. The biscuits and gravy filled a giant plate to overflowing. But, the flavor was average at best. Too much flour made... More

I have ate at this place several times and it is the most food you will find in Yreka. It is also great food. I like there breakfast food the best. Great food, lots of it, and a great price.

This place was recommened to us by Heidi, the front office staff at the Holiday Inn Express. At first we almost did not stop. It looks marginal from the outside----the type of place we would not normally stop at for food. But we are sure glad we made the effort. We were greeted by a great smile by the hostess... More

Prompt and efficient service with ample portions of tasty food at a reasonable price. Homey atmosphere. Local hotspot. Friendly, down to earth waitresses.

If you're not in a hurry, hurry on in here. The food is worth waiting for. The price is right. The folks are folksy. Service is consistently good.

"Poor Georges" used to be an A&W one of my flavorite memories. I must agree with every one and all their ratings.Librarybev gave "Poor Georges" only one star, I agree with that too. As I sopped up the last of my wonderful country gavy I saw that the plate had a Big BLACK NASTY crack. I am sorry to say... More

My husband had been there befor but I had not, not to many good breakfast places in Yreka. I think we found a new breakfast place in town for us. This is just a home town diner, nothing fancy. The food was good home cookin and the price was very reasonable and the service was fast. The staff knew their... More

My husband and I have been patrons of Poor George's for many years, but we no longer are fans. The thing is that the restaurant itself has gone down hill. The carpet is disgusting, the ceiling is disgusting, and the tables are in such bad need of refinishing that they're even disgusting! When I go into a restaurant to eat,... More

We stopped here on our way out of town. The food was incredibly tasty with very large portions. This appears to be where a lot of locals eat. The service was great and very personable. The waitress knew most of the diner's names. We will go of we pass through yreka again.
