I read reviews (maybe from friends?) and online info about this place before going, it said they had lot's of salads.... I wanted a nice salad for dinner. I am not the plain old Caesar salad type, but I do like roughage and creativity infused with a tasty-light dressing of sorts (I love fruity vinaigrette) . We got there and... More

Really wonderful Italian food. Just down the street from the hotel. Within easy walking distance. Dinners were reasonably priced.

Traveling through from CA to Oregon. High points: I has spaghetti which was good, my husband decided to try the lasagna in puff pasty since it was so unusual. It was OK but a bit soggy on the bottom. Neutral: Venue was OK, nothing special but clean. Low Points: Very Slow service. The waitress was very sweet, friendly and working... More

Have eaten at other Strings locations and was happy to find one in Yreka and right downtown. Favorite meal is their lasagna pastry, which was wonderful. Also had the veal parmesan, which was also delicious. Service was very attentive. Cozy atmosphere. Would definitely recommend it.

Have eaten at Strings a few times - we are always pleased. The wait staff is always attentive and food is predictably good! What more could you ask for? My husband and I have tried a number of different dishes and have not been disappointed. Each dinner comes with soup or salad and ciabatta type bread. If you want a... More

For years, Yreka has needed a decent restaurant other than the flurry of fast food places and family diners. Well, now it has one with Strings. Every year we camp and fish in the area at the R-Ranch, and every year we have lamented the lack of dining choices in town. Strings' focus is pasta, and it has two pages... More

We returned to Strings. It's downtown on Miner street. What a nice place. There was a meeting of fly fishermen going on in the next room which added ambiance. We had a nice bottle of wine, mushroom appetizer then the salad. We split the shrimp and chicken dish - my wife likes shrimp and I don't. With the bit of... More

We were surprised this was a franchise restaurant because the food was so good. I only had the mussel appetizer and salad with plenty of food to fill me. Warm bread to dip in the tomato sauce on the mussels. My dining companions really enjoyed the other unique dishes such as eggplant scaloppini and pastry lasagna.

We read reviews on Yreka restaurants and this one had the best reviews overall and true to form we were not disappointed. I had regular spaghetti and meatballs but it was the marinara sauce that really stood out. The tossed green salad with house dressing was excellent and the overall service was very good. The restaurant is located in the... More

You can have seconds on salads, the bread arrives warm and the entrees vary from the traditional Italian fare to the more unusual like basa served with pasta and sundried tomatoes or eggplant scalapini.
