Great meal, they treated us really well on our 20th Anniversary. French food is not my thing but the drinks were good, the bread was obviously amazing and the french fry aoli sauce was amazing.

Went to Bouchon for lunch on a Monday at the end of our vacation. The food was excellent. I had French Onion Soup and Steak Frites. French Onion Soup was delicious, just like you expect it to taste. The Steak Frites was cooked wonderfully (medium rare like requested) with a huge pat of herbed butter and mound of fries. And... More

We decided to have an early dinner at Bouchon before heading home to Davis. Thomas Keller was walking across the street as we pulled into a parking lot. Although Bouchon is referred to by some as the poor man’s French Laundry, I was impressed with the furnishings and decor. We were seated at a booth next to a vase of... More

The grilled salmon was one of the best versions of this dish i have had, the trout was just good, and the fries (this is a french bistro) were bad. Hard to explain. Service was just OK. It is expensive and very crowded. This was maybe my fifth visit -- I would probably go back for the atmosphere and hope... More

Of course I heard of Bouchon and I finally dined here to celebrate my Birthday. I am impressed with my waiter, Bryan, who was very attentive, kept my water glass full, timed our dishes, so service with a large dinner staff was very efficient. The onion soup was flavorful, but I think I'm used of eating firmer escargots; the mini... More

This restaurant is the Bistro version of French Laundry, and the food was spectacular. Definitely great place for foodies. The only downside is that it is quite noisy inside.

Have been here twice now. My only complaint is that it is too crowded and loud inside. Much prefer the dog-friendly patio. Food is awesome. Service is fantastic. Price is outrageous, but as my brother from DC said "I live in an area with tons of fancy expensive restaurants, but I always leave feeling ripped off." Not here!! At Bouchon,... More

Had dinner at bouchon tonight. Beautiful restaurant, friendly hostess, the food just ok. Ordered a lobster salad and pasta of the day. Wasn't impressed. For dessert had the merengue with fruit. Way too sweet. Expected better from this famous chef

The experience was a let down. The atmosphere is nice inside, but the service was a bit to be desired. 2 persons in my group did not get their dinners until 30 minutes after the rest of us. The food was OK, but not worth the high price. Disappointing as everyone raves about this restaurant. I will not be returning,... More

Worth stopping, getting out of your car and buying so fresh baked goods no matter where you're going.
