Excellent choices and reasonable prices! Very fine quality and they do their homework. Top ingredients and skilled kitchen. Even the cheese plate is selective and it's worth listening to the waiter's description. We will keep coming back.

We dined here as a couple in early May. We were staying at the Hotel Yountville which was a few blocks away. I was unable to get a reservation in the time I wanted so I asked the hotel to try. They got us a reservation and we were treated like royalty at the restaurant. Service was excellent, ambiance was...

We had a great lunch here in between wine tours. Started with the lettuce cups, which took a long time, but were worth the wait.
The pork buns also did not disappoint, and I would have to say were one of my favorite dishes during a 10 day trip and many incredible culinary experiences.
The decor was very trendy, and...

With so many great restaurants in Yountville - Redd is definately a great choice. The first course and entrees we ordered were creative and excellent. The servers were there when we needed something - but we never felt rushed. Enjoyed the modern atmosphere and felt the prices were in line with the food.
I really enjoy the distinguished atmosphere in the living room off the main bar - the dim light, windows, etc were perfect. It was very romantic. I also laud the restaurant,, highly, because when we dined there were a number of "A" list movie actresses and some big players of the food scene, but it didn't change the dynamic at...

The tasting menu was an amazing experience. It showcased the Chef's talents. The waitstaff were friendly but gave you space but were always there when you needed something.
Redd does something a bit different with their tasting menu, for a couple they brought out each of the two choices which we shared. So for a five course meal with had ten different small dishes and ten different wines. Made it very interesting as long as you like to share. The food and wine was excellent.
The food, while very good, was not exceptional for the price. And the stark atmosphere was not very pleasant. Also they remove your wine bottles from the table after the first pour. And then pour when they think you want more. While this may be considered correct I would rather pour when I see fit.
The owner, Richard Reddington, is a superb chef. But the food can't make up for staff with bad attitudes. You would think that the owner would have people coming by periodically to understand how customers are really being treated. It only takes one or two miserable employees to ruin the experience for a diner. There is no excuse to not...

Our lunch at Redd's was excellent. The food is very good - the receptionist used our names - waiter was attentive and made good suggestions. Citrus salad, oysters, calamari were all exceptional ( tamarind sauce on Calamari is a little strong - suggest you get it on the side). We will go back their soon.
