The combination of good wine and great food makes this a very enjoyable experience, and the grounds are beautiful and peaceful. It is a very relaxing place. I had the salmon and liked it very much, and others had the beef tenderloin and enjoyed it. The appetizers were good, and the chocolate cake was great.

We hadn't been to Chandon in many years, but it was even better than remembered. The food was outstanding, as can be expected in many restaurants in Napa, but even better was the service. The restaurant is roomy and comfortable (loved the side-by-side booth) and while elegant and romantic it is not pretentious. This is true fine dining in a... More

We celebrated my daughters Birthday July 3. Evening was spectacular, starting with beautiful grounds and ponds, moon lighting and exceptional service. We were offered outside seating and heaters for a chilly night. Despite of the fact that we were the last party to be served, service , meals, ambiance was simply exceptional. Exactly as we expected! We would like to... More

Although we arrived early for our reservation, we were seated immediately. This set the tone for a remarkable lunch. The location, although not on the coast, is gorgeous. We sat outside overlooking expansive lawns and gardens. The service was very professional and formal as one would expect in a good French restaurant. Nevertheless, the servers were pleasant, efficient and helpful.... More

We couldn't have asked for a better afternoon, sitting on the terrace of Etoile at Chandon in Yountville. We thoroughly enjoyed the six part tasting menu with the paired wines, the unmatched service was superb, and the waiters knowledge of food and wine made this a most memorable day. By far the best meal and experience ten days into our... More

This was absolutely one of our best dinners in Napa. We did the six couse prix fixed menu and the wine pairing and it lived up to all the expectations. We had fabulous canapes, delicious sparkling wine, savory pate's.... you name it. I would consider this a great restaurant and fancy but they weren't at all pretentious. There were a... More

This was our second visit to Chandon and first visit for some of our party. Our tour guide was fantastic -- knowledgeable, friendly, charming. The tasting, which was outside on a beautiful afternoon, was lovely.

This menu and kitchen over reaches what they can deliver. Beautiful location. Attended later in the evening and the grounds have a magical appeal. May be unfair to eat lunch at a Michelin one star and follow up at Etoile. With all that it has going for it the food does not measure up to the dining room. There isn't... More

On a drive through the Sonoma and Napa Valleys, we stopped at Domaine Chandon's Étoile for a late lunch. Our dishes were delicious and stunningly presented - we shared the Dungeness crab to start before moving to the duck and the sole dishes as our mains. Special mention goes to the caramelised pear mille-feuille with brandy butterscotch sauce and almond... More
