Description: Chef Michael Chiarello has returned to his culinary roots by creating seasonal farm-to-table Italian cuisine reflecting the bold flavors of Chiarello’s heritage in his signature style 1st made famous at Tra Vigne in the 90’s. An award winning chef/vintner & Food Network host, Chiarello celebrates his Italian roots and the Napa Valley with a menu echoing his long practice of using the finest locally/sustainably produced food. Located in Yountville, in the heart of the Napa Valley, Bottega’s extensive wine list represents hard-to-find favorites of the Valley and interesting Italian selections. Chiarello restored the integrity of an old 1800’s estate by uncovering beautiful hard wood floors, timber beams, old brick walls and windows. The inviting dining room is accented with reclaimed antiques, warm fabrics and eclectic light fixtures lending to the restaurant’s old world comfort.

As you enter the restaurant there is a faux blazing coal reception desk which I thought was clever . We were a large group so were seated at a marble slab table with a view of the kitchen and blazing fire. Generally not a favorite location but enjoyed this. Mista salad and crab pasta were delicious. Service needs some help.

We have been fans of Michael Chiarello since he opened his first restaurant in St Helena 30 years ago , We had also been huge fans of Bottega with our Napa Valley friends for major celebrations, UNTIL NOW. I ordered the red wine risotto lunch special . It was very vinegary, over the top not good, but that is not... More

My husband and I went yesterday to this restaurant and I must say it was the best Risotto Giada that I have ever had. The server was really nice and kind. Absolutely recommended.

I had the grilled octopus and the calamari. Our lunch was one of the highlights to our Napa Valley weekend.

My husband and I have been here many times and every time we have been so pleased. We love the charm of the restaurant. The exposed brick wall and candlelight ambience makes for an intimate dinner. And I especially love the copper cups for my hubby's Moscow mules! The food is amazing. My favs are the calamari with the black... More

My visit to Yountville this fall had me breezing my way through the Napa Valley in a limousine with my love, sipping regional champagne and listening to classical music. This whet our appetites for the restaurant where our chauffeur (amusingly named James) had chosen to take us for our spectacular memory--Bottega, where we sat outside next to some flower bushes... We loved our dinner at Bottega! It was a rainy and cold night - but the restaurant was warm and inviting! had a fire going in the bar-outside lounge area. Seems up town and classy and there were only male waiters! Every time they served an entree that would say the Chef advises you to eat it like this (... More

Had dinner here last Saturday. Two of us had short ribs and one had a squash risotto. All were very good. Started with arancini, which we all enjoyed and cocktails. We split a field green salad and shaved Brussel sprout salad and both were very good. The short ribs were smoked and braised. Excellent but the polenta balls that served... More
