Great scene, and the food is worth the price

Set behind the wood panel exterior walls of an old retail strip lies the country kitch extravaganza of Bucks. From the world's biggest harmonica to the photos on the wall, everything is in place. And, the food is great too. I had a grilled artichoke stuffed with shrimp on one side and crab on... read more

First off, this place is legendary in Silicon Valley. All sorts of stories floating around the Valley talk about companies started with drawings on the back of napkins here. Truth or Myth? Who knows. What is true is that this place is super-quirky with whacky, eclectic decorations and a really friendly wait staff. What is lacking here is value for... More

Buck's been a local institution for the locals of Woodside for years. Big portions at lunch or dinner and responsible prices. On this trip had the 2 by 2 - eggs, pancakes and bacon + coffee. Coffee was $4 and was weaker than Starbucks..close to dish water. Avoid it. Blueberry pancakes are big and come with a hot blueberry sauce..delish.... More

Located in rural northern California outside San Francisco, Buck's is a place in Woodside to meet for a casual business meeting. The food is good. It's rustic interior reminds you of the Rockies or Northern Maine. Make sure you check out the relics, trinkets and souvenirs on the wall. I was literally sitting under swords from the civil war. The... More

Good food, fun ambiance, really nice staff, large portions, tasty and varied choices. Good for families as the place is filled with interesting artifacts. And reasonably priced.

Super-smart service, we were in a rush and the waitress brought our order within ~5mins - excellent job. Daughter is convinced French Toast is the best she's ever had!

We've eaten at Buck's on numerous occasions and always leave with our tummies full and our faces smiling. The service is impeccable even when they're slammed busy which is often on the weekend. A must try is the grilled artichoke stuffed with crab on one side, scrumptious shrimp on the other. It's just to die for. The crab and shrimp... More

Great atmosphere, unparalleled, geek-funky decor, family-style service, amazing omelets. Favorite is the Woodsider. Breakfast burrito is popular amongst my guests. It is a must to visit if you are in the Palo Alto / Menlo / Woodside area.

For those who haven't been its an eclectic restaurant in Woodside not too far from Roberts Grocery. We had the Crab Melt, New Mexico Cobb Salad and Artichoke salad with shrimp and crab. Everything was very good. Bucks is very popular and nearly always crowded. The only complaint I have is the service was pretty slow, however once we ordered... More

We stopped here for late lunch and we ordered salad with bar b que chicken and crab sandwich. Both recommended by waitress and both were terrible. It was not cheap. I will not be back.
