Obviously, the movers and shakers are able to look beyond the restaurant filth to deal with their agendas! A really good steam bath is called for in the restrooms and the restaurant (and probably in the kitchen!) That being said, our breakfast was really good, (basic eggs, bacon, sausage and potatoes); and our server, LeShawn, was fantastic! She flew from... More

Buck's is a legendary restaurant in the heart of Woodside. It's been around for decades and is truly one-of-a-kind. The food is a solid "good" - not great - but that's not the point. Best meal is breakfast, then lunch, then dinner (I rarely have dinner there). There is food for all tastes, and an excellent kids' menu. The decor... More

We stumbled upon this bar/diner when we visited the Purisima Open Space. It was only after visiting that we discovered that this place was known as the Cheers of Silicon Valley. You could spend an hour just looking at the memorabilia on the walls/floor/ceiling. Our favourite was the Braille copy of Playboy magazine signed by Stevie Wonder! The food was... More

It was a pretty popular place. We went especially to try their famous hot fudge sundae that the Statue of Liberty holds. This was mentioned in their recent magazine article. But the fudge wasn't hot at all, it was cold. It seemed to be pre-made and kept in the freezer, was disappointing. But the pumpkin pie was definitely delicious, traditional... More

A group of us recently had brunch at Buck's and it was an interesting experience. It's certainly a popular place and we had a wait, but did end up with a large table where 8 of us fit nicely. Prices are definitely high for breakfast/brunch--but everything in CA is high-priced. Aside from that, I thought the food was pretty standard,... More

Bucks is a bit of a surprise in decor. The menu extensive, good but I thought a bit expensive for a coffee shop type restaurant. I had the spinach salad. My companions the breakfast served til 2 on weekends. Lunch starts at 11.

Buck's of Woodside is an experience which should not be missed. The restaurant is a historic spot in Silicon Valley where many early deals were first conceived and negotiated. The decor is also historic with amusing historic curiosities. The menu is diverse and probably has probably not changed much in the past 25 years. Food is well preparedand is probably... More

We discovered Bucks by accident maybe 10 years ago, and LOVED it. We've gone so many times whenever were in the area ( for Filoli) , or traveling thru. It's our favorite place to bring and or meet family there ! Truly, everything , everything is always great !!! And just reading the menu, is entertaining, so is looking around,... More

Other reivews tell you about the ambiance, which is amazing. I've been patronizing Buck's for at least 15 years. Back in when I lived in Woodside, we ate there at least once a week -- Wednesday was "do homework at Buck's and eat ribs!" night. The baby back ribs are that good. Now that tomatoes are back in season, I... More

This fun destination oozes character due to its kitchy decor that consists of a truly unique collection of "inventions" and kooky items focused on the Silicon Valley patrons who live in or nearby the delightful Town of Woodside, CA., The food is good, but not over the top fancy, yet moderately priced (for the Bay Area). Definately worth the visit,... More
