Fresh California and Classic American Food in a Fun, Kitschy Setting

Buck's is a fun place that is always packed for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. The food is way better than the casual, kitschy atmosphere might lead you to expect - in addition to the classic American offerings (like their amazing burgers!) they have fresh, local specialties like the massive grilled... read more

Great food, fantastic collection of the most unusual stuff imaginable (or not!) on the walls and ceiling. Great place for kids, they can do a scavenger hunt to find where various items are displayed. The French Onion soup is excellent, also the Harry's Bar Steak Sandwich. Check their daily specials for other interesting offerings. They serve beer and wine, and... More

This is a must see restaurant. It is full of old collectibles and is so interesting. It is a very busy restaurant and there is a real mix of business and locals here. The New York Steak and Egg breakfast is great. The portions are large and it has a real feel good factor gong on.

Stopped by with our 13 year-old for a late lunch after touring the nearby Filoli estate & gardens. Waitress was helpful, there were plenty of vegetarian options, the nachos were ginormous and the salad was large and very fresh. We had no room for dessert, and took home about half of each entree (we weren't super hungry) but the prices... More

First off, this place is legendary in Silicon Valley. All sorts of stories floating around the Valley talk about companies started with drawings on the back of napkins here. Truth or Myth? Who knows. What is true is that this place is super-quirky with whacky, eclectic decorations and a really friendly wait staff. What is lacking here is value for... More

Buck's been a local institution for the locals of Woodside for years. Big portions at lunch or dinner and responsible prices. On this trip had the 2 by 2 - eggs, pancakes and bacon + coffee. Coffee was $4 and was weaker than Starbucks..close to dish water. Avoid it. Blueberry pancakes are big and come with a hot blueberry sauce..delish.... More

Set behind the wood panel exterior walls of an old retail strip lies the country kitch extravaganza of Bucks. From the world's biggest harmonica to the photos on the wall, everything is in place. And, the food is great too. I had a grilled artichoke stuffed with shrimp on one side and crab on the other. See Bucks isn't just... More

Located in rural northern California outside San Francisco, Buck's is a place in Woodside to meet for a casual business meeting. The food is good. It's rustic interior reminds you of the Rockies or Northern Maine. Make sure you check out the relics, trinkets and souvenirs on the wall. I was literally sitting under swords from the civil war. The... More

Good food, fun ambiance, really nice staff, large portions, tasty and varied choices. Good for families as the place is filled with interesting artifacts. And reasonably priced.

Super-smart service, we were in a rush and the waitress brought our order within ~5mins - excellent job. Daughter is convinced French Toast is the best she's ever had!
