The Village Pub never disappoints with its consistently great food. They have done a great job of offering long-standing popular items and mixing in new creations from their incredible chef. The atmosphere is casual, a little loud (by the bar, but quieter in the dining room) and very comfortable. The service is outstanding - best in the area. The bar... More

Highly recommendable restaurant in a nice and slightly remote location among the hills. They state where most of their products come from, and many actually come from their own farm. Impressive wine list with both Californian and foreign choices, maybe a bit overpriced. Friendly staff, both hostess and waitress, who know what they do and say. Recommendable to order the... More

Following late afternoon winetasting at Thomas Fogarty winery on Skyline we came down the winding road to Woodside for dinner at The Village Pub. We casually dined outside in less formal setting than the interior dining room and were pleasantly surprised by the broad range of the menu, the well prepared meals, and the very extensive and pricey wine list.... I recently ate at the Village Pub for the 2nd time in 10 years and the 2nd time was even better than the 1st. I was in MT View visiting family, and the Village Pub is one of my brother's favorites. The food is excellent, service is professional and friendly, and the atmosphere is wonderful.

Not only is this a commodious restaurant but also a wonderful watering hole for locals. The food is excellent, the wine selection is large and very good and service is impeccable.

I just cannot believe this is ranked second in Woodside. After a burger place. This is a superior restaurant in every way. Superior not only in Woodside but in the entire mid- to south-Peninsula area. This is actually a nice restaurant. Where you go to dress up. And get top quality food. It is one of the places south of... More

While the food and service were fine, in my opinion the noise level of so many patrons in close proximity shatters any ambience with loud, disruptive conversations.

We had a lovely brunch here this Easter. There was a choice of four starters. I had warm asparagus salad which was delicious. For entrees, there were five choices. I had skirt steak over broccoli rabe: yummy! two choices for desert. I had rhubarb tart with ice cream which was delicious. The Pub has a full bar and a superb wine... More

Enjoyed a business dinner in one of their private dining rooms and the food and service was spectacular. The restaurant looks like a modern club house with white table cloth service. Food is local with much of the vegetables and produce coming from the SMIP ranch located close-by. The servers were very knowledgeable and helpful making suggestions on the menu.... More
