Good Food with Friendly, Attentive Service

We picked The Village Pub because it serves foie gras. The restaurant does not offer a tasting menu, so I was torn as to what to order. Almost everything on the menu looked good to me. They also have some off-menu items that the waiter discussed with us. To start, I ordered the foie gras... read more

Village Pub conjures up a few images - a local hangout for the townfolk, a dartboard, pool table, maybe a jukebox, the smell of stale beer and leftover smoke residue from when such things were permitted. Well you are in the heart of Silicon Valley so cast aside your pre-spent images and picture a place that is fancied by CEO's... More

Went there for the birthday of my wife . Despite booking had to wait outside about 20mn to get our table . Dinner went ok , though it was overpriced -$100/head versus what you actually get . Nice attractive words on the menu to basically end up with a green salad with vinaigrette sauce . The service was also average... More

I have eaten at Village Pub 40+ times. The food is always excellent, and the wait staff is superb. The hamburger and chicken salad are always great at lunch. The dinner menu changes fairly often. Some favorites are their homemade pasta dishes, and of course the foie gras. The corn and sorrel soup is amazing!

The Village Pub always offers a superlative dining experience, whether for lunch or dinner. The food is top notch: fresh, seasonal, often local ingredients, with classic and inventive offerings to appeal to all appetites. The dining room is dark, chic, and classically appointed - a lovely respite from the summer heat, or a cozy place to get warm in winter.... More

We have eaten here many times over the years. Lunch is our favorite meal. Their crispy chicken salad is excellent. The wine list is extensive and the sommelier is always helpful in finding a selection that matches the budget as well as the food. The service is normally very attentive. The negatives are that the food and wines are expensive... More

Fresh California dining at its best with views of the coastal hills. A real Michelin 1 star restaurant with very well prepared food. Great cocktails and wine list, and food that will be a memorable event. Produce is very fresh from their own gardens. Desserts to die for! We have visited a least 50 times and have never been disappointed.

I love to sit at the bar area, the general dining is great, but the bar is more intimate for me, food is amazing, especially the steak frits,

If you dream you are having the best dinning experience in your life, you are in Woodside, California eating at the Village Pub. Every dish I consumed was tasty and properly prepared. The service was beyond excellent. The wait staff helped me find an outstanding bottle of Italian that was priced reasonably. You were greeted with a smile when you... More

I must have driven by the Village Pub a few thousand times over the years and somehow never managed to eat there until last night. We were there celebrating a birthday and what an excellent choice for a celebration. The dining room is lovely, the wait staff is attentive with out hovering over you. Ceres (sp?) was our wine steward... More
