Met a few colleagues here on a Wednesday night and it was crowed. Seems to be a very popular spot! Tucked back behind a small strip mall it was very hard to find even with GPS. Look for the Coldwell Banker real estate office. The decor is nicely up scale and the food is very good. The wine list, on... More

A friend of ours recommended this restaurant so we gave it a try for our anniversary dinner. Without a doubt their strongest attribute is their service, followed closely by the food. All of their staff was very attentive and friendly, we never felt rushed, and I don't think my water glass ever got below half empty. My only complaint about... More

The location is a pleasant surprise in the secluded wooded area of San Francisco peninsula, the layout of the restaurant is welcoming and inviting, the fireplace and organization is superb. The beverages, the wine list is just right. The menu combination of delightful selections, the deserts are well made and delicious. One should not spoil the experience by looking at... More

We went with a large group and the persons I talked to before raved about the place before so I was pretty excited. Walking in you get a nice ambience and a warm feeling for the place. We were placed in our own room as we were 30 in total. The starters were average with different bites either fried or... More

Bar area was nice and had a great atmosphere. We took our table (no reservation) on a mid-week evening. Cocktails were well executed except we were given one that we didn't order. Not only did they correct the mistake immediately, they comped the drink on the final bill. Maitre d was really cool and calm and collected. Our waiter was... More

The Pub has been a fixture for a very long time, and the current iteration is the best so far. The menu is varied and appealing for carnivores and vegetarians alike (though carnivores may have the better of it). Service is impeccable, attentive without being over the top and the staff is well trained and unobtrusive. The wine list is... More

Everything about The Village Pub is done right by my estimation. So much so that I have hesitated reviewing this gem because, well, some secrets are best kept. But it's no longer a secret local place, it's now well-known for greatness. The menu has something for everyone including a slightly lower-key pub menu that offers slightly lighter fare and where... Because I couldn't host our cooking group at our house, I knew that The Village Pub might be accommodating to have a special menu for a group. Indeed they were so I requested an autumn, comfort food meal and left it to them to create. They emailed me a menu which I approved. The 5-course meal itself was fabulous, innovative... More

This is a very favorite restaurant and I cannot decide if the service outshines the cuisine or vice versa. The wine list is a tad shorter than War and Peace. Check out the sommelier's table with candle but read the list online before you go-or simply let the sommelier select for your tastes. The local farms contribute such freshness and flavor... More

I had the best green salad I ever had in my life! Crispy, juicy, crunchy with a delicate vinaigrette. We then had the suggestion of the chef: diver scallops with truffle. An absolute treat! All this in a very discrete atmosphere, a unique wine list with the best wines of the planet, but of course this comes at a price,... More
