A wonderful dinner!

We purposely went here for dinner because of our wonderful experience earlier in our trip at another Black Bear location. As expected, we were not disappointed. Saw the diner while gassing up...so we figured might as well. The place is nice and all. Gives that vintage feel of a diner with wooden furniture and what not. Almost felt like home for me. Check your silverware. Our's were dirty. I ordered the "chilli bowl" and was seriously disappointed. It was more like bean soup with fake meat... More

They have real good prices for the amount of food you get. Order the Garlic fries, they are super good, but will make vampires and everyone stay away, LOL Hamburgers are great too.

Let me preface this by saying we are Black Bear Diner fans - if we are in a town with a BBD, we've eaten there - and have the t-shirt to prove it (and the coffee mug.) So when we don't have a good experience at a BBD, we're surprised and disappointed. We walked into the BBD in Willows and... More

There aren't many restaurants in this small town. The Black Bear is decent, inexpensive with large portions that can easily be split. My wife and I share the slow cooked pot roast that was tender, tasty with delicious gravy. Even splitting we were too full for dessert. It is a decent place to eat for an inexpensive hearty and tasty... More

They were very busy when I visited but found me a table. My dinner was good and the food fresh. The veggies were nice - sauteed summer squash & broccoli.

I gave Black Bear Diner an extra "star" because they offered all veterans a free meal, including drinks, on Veterans Day.Yeah! My husband and I are not veterans but we were very impressed by this kind gesture. It was an exceptionally busy day on 11/11/2014. Very festive. Red, white, and blue everywhere..Balloons..Lots of veterans in uniform. Black Bear Diner food... More

We enjoyed a nice meal while travelling on I-5 at the Black Bear Diner in Willows. The menu is varied and the food is good. The service was great. I definitely recommend this as a stopping place for a meal in Willows.

We just love eating at these diners because the service is great, everyone is friendly, a great choice of food on the menu & always hot as we like it. We experienced our first diner in Redding in 2006 & have been going to them ever since along 5 to include Auburn & many other locales.
