Popular side street cafe with railroad theme and patio area that is pet friendly. Doesn't accept credit cards. Place was full for lunch but we got a table on the patio. Service was friendly and timely. However, the busy place keeps the waitress's hopping so don't expect them to be hovering over you. Good menu selection and soup specials. Soup... More

This railroad themed cafe serves mouthwatering soups, sandwiches and salads at lunchtime. Between noon and 1:00 you might want to call for reservations. This is a small family-run restaurant. Their portions are generous. They do not accept credit cards but they have an atm machine inside and three banks just a stone's throw away.

Tucked away on a side street off of 101 - but worth the effort to find it! Delicious beef deep & pastrami sandwiches on fresh French rolls and very prompt & friendly service. Kettle Chips (no fries but don't need them!) and a nice house wine by the glass - we enjoyed lunch on their patio and it was great... More

This place was recommended to us by the folks who run the local used book store, and we are very glad we went! It is a funky little place decorated with train stuff and has a very nice covered patio seating area. The menu is varied, so there should be something for everyone. I had the hot chicken pesto sandwich... More

I have frequented this restaurant for a long time and the food is always consistently delicious. Several friends make the 25 miles drive from Ukiah (south) just to eat here. What can I say, but be sure to stop in if you can. You'll be glad you did.

We just happened on the place and found it absolutely delightful. Very homey atmosphere, creative menu choices, and excellent service. We split the spicey chicken basil sub and it was plenty tasty and filling. We will definitely dine here again!

Found on Trip Advisor. Traveling through on our way to the Redwoods. AMAZING soup----mushroom and artichoke. I would have never put those two ingredients together but it was a perfect combination. Everyone liked there meal and good value for the quality of the food. Be warned---- they only take cash.

We have been to the Loose Caboose several times and their French dip sandwich is definitely worth the 20 mile trip from Ukiah. Other food has been very well prepared also and everything has been very good, including the chocolate shake. Besides serving wonderful food the prices are very reasonable. ( I cannot believe someone from Frisco complaining about spending... More

Saw this restaurant because we were down the street shopping. Decided to swing in. Very cute inside. Has indoor and outdoor seating. Wait staff was sweet and attentive. I didn't find the menu terribly exciting. It's large but it's largely sandwiches. They do have about 4 or 5 salad options and a few pizzas. They have about 3 options for... More

When you are in an unfamiliar place and don't want chain restaurant fast food, you take your chances. Fortunately, we chose an ok place. The salad was fresh but bland - his sandwich was filling. Nothing great or outstanding but nothing awful, either.
