Fast food

Just whipped through the drive thru and ordered a cheeseburger. 2.91$. Wanted to try something other than the big chains. No drink or fries so I tasted the burger well. Bun was toasted perfectly the meat fresh and packed with lettuce and tomato. I enjoyed the burger a lot more than say a Big Mac... read more

I know that Rick's is a Whittier favorite, but I still wonder why. We tried them twice during our last visit and decided that we won't be back. Yes, you can taste that the burgers were grilled, but that's after they came out of the freezer. Yes, they have tomato and lettuce, and are inexpensive, but sometimes you want good,... More

You want a very good burger? I had a good sized one with chili. Very very tasty! While we were there it got very busy with customers coming in & out or staying in for the meal. The service is great. Very very clean. A lot of room inside & out for eating. Right now they have their place decorated... More

I've eaten here several times over the years. The burger, chili, and cherry pie were just fine after a long day. Everyone is pleasant and friendly.

Ricks has been there forever, so they must be doing something right. I must say that my all time fav - patty melt - has been kinda ruined by the addition of lettuce and tomato. Chili cheese fries are still very good.

Rick's Burgers is an icon in Uptown Whittier. Not only do they sell the best burgers and fries, but they have a great fan following. Every Christmas, they fill up the outside courtyard with elaborate decorations and a 30 foot (or so) tall tree with all the bells and whistles (and lights!). Their prices are very reasonable, well-staffed, and the... More

We ate here several times during our 10 day stay at the Whittier Radisson across the street. If you like Burger dives, old fashioned mom and pop California low cost restaurants then you may like this place. The prices were surprisingly low. They had a large menu with plenty to choose from. It was a popular local eatery with some... More

I've been coming to Rick's for 8 years, since I moved here. I always overlooked that unsmiling, rude cashier that sometimes just throws the plate on your table old-school. I usually just keep walking and don't come here when I see her behind the counter. Came here tonight 12-6-12 about 8:30pm and didn't see her, so walked on in, and,... More

Before I became a vegetarian I looked forward to coming here when in uptown. I actually preferred this fast food as opposed to a sit down joint similar. Great bacon avocado burgers and fries. They also have very good club sandwiches . Durning Christmas they decorate with giant trees and ornament. Kids will love it. I love it. Makes you... More

We ate here for breakfast. Just looking at the outside, you might feel put off. Go in anyway. The food is just as good (or better) than the average coffee shop for half the price. Breakfast was served on real plates with real silverware (I would have expected plastic). Everything was very good. The workers are friendly and efficient. We... More
