Our daughter is about to start at nearby Whittier College, so we wanted to try some of the local restaurants together. We were pleased by the Golden Triangle's welcoming and informed waitresses, and delighted by the food. This restataunt has received accolades over the years and it IS decent Thai food for Whittier. The service is generally friendly but I have found a place a little further South (Santa Fe Springs) which is more authentic, has a more interesting menu, is less expensive and delivers. The Golden Triangle specializes in "Burmese" influenced food. Try the honey spare ribs, a specialty, and the coconut rice. The pineapple fried rice, served in a hollowed-out pineapple, is also amazing. It's the only Whittier restaurant listed in the Zagat guide. One of the best Thai restaurants I've ever eaten at. more
All right now...this place is excellent! the samosas, the coconut rice, the fried bread...and especially the asian ice cream..pretty much this joint scores high in most food categories..out of all the restaurants in the Whittier Uptown village, this is one of the best for good old fashioned Asian grub...the teas are a must...and if you wanna suck down some suds... more
