Good Food But Needs Some Renovation

We stopped here for lunch on the last leg of our cross country drive. The food and service were good. This looks like a 1950's diner that has not had much renovation since it was opened. It has an old, poorly stocked gift area. It would be fairly accurate although a bit generous to call it quaint... read more

We ate here on a Friday evening around 6 pm. Should have known something may go wrong as no one else was in the restaurant at this time. I have the Western Burger. Meat was thick but pretty tasteless and the chili on the open face sandwich tasted like it came out of a can, not homemade. My wife had... More

We were on our way home from vacation and stayed in Westley, CA. We love family diners but this restaurant wasn't one of our favorites. It just didn't feel clean when we walked in. Based on a previous review by another diner, I'm glad I didn't need to use the restroom. My husband had the chicken fried steak and it... More

We usually love family type roadside restaurants, which is why we stopped here on our way to LA from San Francisco. The food was good and huge portions, but the place is absolutely filthy. A sure sign of how clean a restaurant is- check out the bathrooms. OMG….so gross. We were sitting at the counter, and from the corner of... More

If dry eggs, luke warm hash browns are your thing then this is the place. It's a little pricey for what it is. had to ask for water 2x and ask for a menu. Very few customers but the waitresses were having a gab fest in the kitchen.

I enjoyed my meal and the waitress. I sat at the counter. I ordered the 2 Chile Rellenos plate. It took some time coming but was pretty darn good. I think there is only 1 cook. Good to have a hot meal not fast food.

We have driven by hrer many times. It has never been at mealtime. This time it was. We did not feel like fast food. Family style restaraunt. Fairly diverse menu. Service was quick and the food was good. It was about half filled at lunch. Lots seemed to be regulars as the staff greeted them by name. If its mealtime... More

A basic diner. Meets the need but is tired and needs refurbishment. The food was fine, about what you'd expect from a roadside diner.
