Whitey's is a true throwback to the 50s/60s -- in a great way. Fabulous bacon cheeseburgers, malted milkshakes, fries, and much more. The prices are also great. Yum yum, and then some!

Blackberry, banana, pineapple, you name it. They have the best milkshakes around. Served alone or with their beef burgers, veggie burgers, or salmon burgers or even their good selection of Mexican food, you can't beat the prices. Shop local(ly) and support good food and shakes at terrific prices!

Don't let the little walk-up stand fool you. Whitey's is kind of a big thing in West Sac. Local family owned, Whiteys is basic fast food at its best and the prices can't be beat either. Their shakes are thick and creamy with more flavors than anywhere else. My favorite is their tostada and my kids love the curly fries.... More

It feels like you go back in time when visiting Whitey's. Good food and shakes. They have a variety of hamburgers and sandwiches, and some Mexican choices such as tacos and deep fried burritos. Most people come here for the milkshakes - they have seasonal varieties that are very popular. Everything here is cooked after ordering, and it is often... More

Lived in this neighborhood 13 years and finally decided to see what the fuss was about. Well it's not about service because I waited 30 minutes at least for a milkshake that was average. I'd drink more milkshakes but they aren't worth the calories AND the time. While waiting two different old folks walked up talking about how they'd been... More

Wow haven't been to Whitey's since the 70's. When I was a little kid and lived at grandma's house on 15th st. my uncle would give me $5 to go get burger, fry and a shake. I would run all the way there. Glad to see it still there. Although it was closed when I went by. They were selling xmas... More

The burgers and fries are pretty average, but they do have a fairly large selection of types of burgers, sandwiches and hot dogs. The shakes are really the thing to go for. Lots of flavors, including fresh peach shakes in season. And they have chocolate dipped cones!

Yes, you have to wait a bit. But there is a friendly crowd waiting with you and misters to cool you off. The cheeseburgers are great. Off our usual track, but we try to get here at least once a summer. Hours are a bit strange, closed on weekends I think.

We recently found Whitey's Jolly Kone when we did some business in West Sacramento. It's a nice old fashioned hamburger stand with tables for outside dining. Our burgers were real good and the fries were freshly cooked. They had a very good selection of other foods including tacos, shakes, and other ice cream treats. We didn't try them since we're...
