One of my favorite restaurants in Los Angeles. Dark, romantic, reminiscent of old-Hollywood without being kitschy. The food was wonderful. The service was good - a tad on the cold side at times, but not enough to be off-putting. Looking forward to my return visit.

The food, service and atmosphere was great, but the noise level was a little high. It was a busy night with all the tables full, but the noise made it very hard to hear.

Had a very romantic dinner with my date. They offer a very healthy courtesy veggie cup (with jicama, carrots, and celery) with yogurt dip while you are ordering. The bench sitting towards the windows can feel quite cozy and luxuriously homey. The posh ambience is soothing, without being pretentious. Lots of beautiful people, all sharply dressed in designer. A settle... More

The service was impeccable, the food incredible and the fun of eating with celebrities was a great bonus. The tables are very close together so you are eating right on top of other diners, but it is convivial and entertaining. There are pictures on the walls with funny captions which were enjoyable to peruse. You had best have reservations because... More

The food is very good, the Bar and Room are excellent! Great service and really nice atmosphere. Corkage is too high but other than that and by the way, you need reservations, its a wonderful place. Lots of Industry folks and celebrities so if you want something more down to earth, don't come here. Otherwise, again, great food, service and... More

We had dinner at the Tower Bar this evening. We ate on the terrace and after seeing that a large birthdays celebration at the next table was making it difficult for us to speak, the waiter (without us saying anything) suggested that we move to another section. He then brought us a complimentary appetizer that we had asked about but... More

Over the years I have punched my time card at The Tower Bar more times than I should allow appearing in print. Yet here I am prepared to confess - armed with a sincere fondness for the staff at The Tower Bar at the Sunset Tower Hotel. Volumes have been written about Dmitri Dmitrov, the maître d'hôtel, who defines the... More

had a lovely dinner for 2 here. wonderful ambiance - dimmed lighting and old hollywood glamour. formal but you feel welcome. the menu is american classics, but superbly prepared, all dishes are extremely flavourfull, simple and elegant and presented by super service minded staff. great winelist but a cocktail to start with is a must in this place - listening... The Tower Bar is one of Los Angeles nicest restaurants. The service is so excellent and they don't care if your an Hollywood celebrity or just regular costumer. Which should be normal everywhere but usually not in in this area. The food is super delicious. It's really one of Hollywood best secrets and always worth a visit.

Had a meal here on Thanksgiving Day 2012 having booked in advance. Great table and great food. The style is old world charm and all the better for it.
