Came here with some friends. Everything was lovely, but the prices were insane. I am more than willing to pay a premium to be in a stylish, hip venue, but I'll never return. I can buy a truly excellent bottle of chardonnay for less than the one glass of so so chard here

dimitri is the maitre de and is the best i have ever seen. he makes everyone feel special, and he needs to balance egos all night. the food is excellent. we shared plates and tried a lot. nothing was less than great. there are special mixed house drinks which should be tried...but also the house white wine is terrific. this... Had another great lunch at the Terrace Restaurant the other day, I'm surprised when I see reviews about the service and or servers being pretentious...James and Angel remembered us from months ago (and trust me, I'm no celebrity), and made sure everything was to our liking, and if not, it was fixed immediately, one of my favorite places to go... The Tower Bar is truly old-style Hollywood, and is a lovely venue. Everyone seems to be friendly, and you're likely to be seated near a celebrity. They may not be A-list, but you can often count on seeing someone you recognize. The place is crowded though, and the cocktails are very pricey - $18 isn't unusual.

We arrived w/our reservations in hand (from the Beverly Wilshire) ready for what was sure to be a dining experience - the hostess hardly looked up and said that our reservations were for the next night then implied that it was the hotels fault (rude) - the maitre'd looked annoyed then said it was ok for us to sit. He... More

The Tower bar feels very classic old Hollywood as opposed to the Ivy where celebrities go to be seen. The vibe is classy and romantic but still very cool and fun for all ages. The bar scene is crowded, but not rowdy and it's a great place to people watch while also having an intimate dinner. The food was good... More

I've only been here once, and that was (more than) enough. Scene was way cool but the prices were ridiculous. $18 for a glass of chardonnay? NOT.

Great Atmosfere but the food is average, it used to be better, something has changed and it's a pity because the menu used to be so much better and with more choices... Still lovely to sit and enjoy the elegant people, hope they catch up with the food again soon

Made a reservation for a party of 7 in the Tower Bar well in advance of desired date. A couple of days before visit, we called and spoke with hostess informing her it was our first time and asked for her suggestion on keeping Tower Bar reservation or dining at Terrace. She suggested Terrace for views, etc. and sunset. Never... More

Neighborhood Profile
West Hollywood
For years, West Hollywood has been known as a hub for the LGBT communities in Los Angeles. Today it still maintains the title, but has also become the “it” neighborhood for the entertainment industry’s up-and-comers. Producers, directors, writers and aspiring actors call this area home. Known for great boutique shopping, vintage clothing stores, home décor shops and fitness studios, West Hollywood is a grid of wide boulevards and narrow residential streets. The neighborhood also has a concentration of the most avant-garde restaurants in Los Angeles (rivaled only by the burgeoning restaurant scene Downtown). A trip to the iconic Sunset Strip, with its many clubs, music venues, hotels and flashing lights won’t be forgotten.
