Wow this place is what the 50's is all about. Not just a 50's style, but authentic 1950's. Food was incredible and the malts are out of this world. The service was fast and extremely friendly. I had the Sunset Burger, onion rings and chocolate malt all for under $20. We sat by the street side window and had the... More

Very pleasantly surprised. I thought it might a tourist trap. Food and service was excellent. Very pleased. Looking forward to coming back for a burger and shake.

As I am now vegan it's been a while since my last visit, but I had to write about Mels cause I keep very good memories of that place and the several meals I had there. Their sweet potatoes fries and their sandwiches and their milkshake were always delicious. The atmosphere and setting is unique, never get enough of these... More

A great menu to choose from such as Prime Steaks to Hamburgers! A hard decision to make as there were many items to select. I had a great 1/4 lb hamburger with fries, cold slaw and chocolate shake. Other people in my party picked other meals. Everyone was well please. I would stop again if in that area. The establishment... More

Great vibe and good food. The place is hopping all the time.....breakfast to late night binge. Burger, fires and shake don't disappoint. The original on highland has a DJ late at night.

Mel's is iconic and most people know the original on N Highland. This one on Sunset is in a nicer neighbourhood and is less crowded. There is a nice outdoor seating area. It is one of my fave places for breakfast. Of course, lots of good comfort food, burgers, shakes and fries.

Visited while in Hollywood as part of a 3 week road trip. My husband being a big fan of American Graffitti couldnt believe his luck. The food was great, huge portions, attentive and friendly waitress and felt like we had stepped back in time. It was the 13th anniversary the day we visited (we googled it while we were there!)... Been a while but enjoyed coming back here. Food is good and service is acceptable. A good place to see Hollywood stars. Personally have seen P-diddy, Topher Grace, and Dane Cook here. This grilled cheese rocked!

Love the old time juke box. They have great options for breakfast and much more. I had a tasty omelette that you can make your own. They have free Valet which is Very important in this area. Always busy but pleasant.
