First visit to Mels and it's certainly got some history about it as it appears that's it's featured on a few film sets in the past. Not surprisingly, as it's beautiful inside, very retro. We went for an evening meal, I had a chilli burger and my wife had chicken jalapeño. Both tasty and ample portions. Service was very good... More

As many other reviewers have said it was like stepping into a time machine with this beautiful restaurant was great to experience as a foreign traveler. Food was nice and staff were very friendly and even provide helpful hints about exploring the sights of hollywood. Must also make a special mention to the staff on the front desk as I... More

We ate at Mel's for breakfast and dinner during our trip. Brilliant atmosphere - quite 50s like with juke boxes and booths (you can pretend you are in Grease). Highly recommend the omelettes and Californian orange juice. YUMMY! Happy and friendly staff. I would definitely visit again.

As locals, we frequent Mels for lunch with friends and family, but this month we did something different and took advantage of their all-night service, dropping in around 2:00 a.m. since we were in the neighborhood. The place was quite busy, and despite the late (early?) hour the service and food were still excellent. Their famous milkshakes are the best... More

Would say this place rocks, had the best feed here, many times, when I was staying on the Strip. The wife also enjoyed it, something for everyone. Waiters do vary, some are better than others. Not the place to go unless you are rather hungry to get the best of the place. Does remind you of the famous TV show.... More
