great atmosphere

Nice place. Great atmosphere. The food is a hit or miss but still had fun at the place. Lobster roll was good but not great. Don't order the Steamers soft shell clams - sandy. Love the fried calamari. The fish is good.

No filler to be seen here, unless you count butter as a filler. Not a place for those with cardiac issues. The lobster roll was lobster pieces, sweet and tender and buttery. The clam chowder was great and agin no thickener here - cream and butter. Best I've had outside Maine or Massachusetts. Service was impeccable. Just wish they had... More

Loved this place! Fantastic seafood: fresh sweet oysters, buttery lobster roll, tender calamari, and amazing New England clam bake.

We went around 6pm on a Thursday, so it wasn't too crowed. We sat inside, cute place - you can come in jeans or dress and feel at home. The waiter we had was great, they were very unctual on refilling water. The food was delicious, we had the calamari and a lobster sandwish thing that was served warm and... More

From the front door and throughout our meal, every one of the staff was very pleasant and friendly. The restaurant offers a pretty good craft beer selection as well as a variety of oysters either fresh or prepared, so I can imagine spending a lingering afternoon with friends here. However, the food was less than advertised. The standard fish &... More

Terrific West Hollywood stop for seafood, and you'll be paying a bit for it .. .. Their LOBSTER ROLL was top-notch and delicious .. .. for $26.00 .. .. The STEAMERs were gigantic, larger than what I am used to, but it too was delicious .. .. They have a nice, outdoor seating area which is ideal to spend Sunday... More

This is one of the best places around for excellent seafood. The menu is so enticing that we spent several minutes reading and evaluating our choices. The chowder was exceptional and seafood fresh -- I doubt they have a single frozen piece of seafood in the place! We ordered the homemade rolls topped with sea salt to share -- yummy!... More

What a find Connie and Ted's was (thanks Eater Hot List!)! A friend wanted seafood and Connie and Ted's fit the bill perfectly. It's very popular, but if you go early, you can grab seats at the bar where you can enjoy their full menu. Our bartender/server was OUTSTANDING. She really was one of the best parts of our experience... More

The freshness of the seafood is the star! Had the Lobster roll and the fish & chips. Both were great. Maybe the best fish & chips I've ever had. The Devils food cake was also very good, but also VERY RICH. I think 4 could share 1.

Staying in West Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
West Hollywood
For years, West Hollywood has been known as a hub for the LGBT communities in Los Angeles. Today it still maintains the title, but has also become the “it” neighborhood for the entertainment industry’s up-and-comers. Producers, directors, writers and aspiring actors call this area home. Known for great boutique shopping, vintage clothing stores, home décor shops and fitness studios, West Hollywood is a grid of wide boulevards and narrow residential streets. The neighborhood also has a concentration of the most avant-garde restaurants in Los Angeles (rivaled only by the burgeoning restaurant scene Downtown). A trip to the iconic Sunset Strip, with its many clubs, music venues, hotels and flashing lights won’t be forgotten.
