A Tasty Adventure

I had the marinated beef skewers which were tender and not overcooked. I wish I'd taken a picture, as the food was presented so well. The servings are very large, so if you have a smaller appetite you may want to consider sharing a plate with a friend, that is if you can agree on the side dishes... read more

It's been around for a long time, and there's always a line waiting since they don't take reservations. And it's a quick fix after you've been drinking on Sunday afternoon. Great flavor from the grill, chicken and shrimp especially are flavorful, can't go wrong with rice, black bean and plantain. big portion, lots of carbs. 5 stars on flavor and... More

This is by far one of my favorite restaurants. Love the traditional chicken, so good. Great out door patio, facing the Abbey. It can get a little cold sometimes.

Had seen the take-out menu of this restaurant and as it was near to us decided to try it. We were there a little early, 7:00 PM so got right in. People 20 min after us had to wait a little. Food was great, especially the grilled shrimp appetizer and the skirt steak. Also deserving special mention was the side,... More

Great food, had the Chicken Lasagna, partner had Seafood w/Fettuccine. NOTE: There are signs at the entrance; minimum $15 per person. While not an issue for us; we noticed a larger group come in and sit down and then noticed the menu prices, so they left. Again, you were warned! The next morning we had breakfast at IHOP and that... When we arrived to Bossa Nova my first impression was it was perfect since it was mostly all outdoor seating. it was a little crowded but not uncomfortable. Once seated their was a little confusion since we had two waiter come to our table at different times asking us the same questions. I wonder if the two servers thought our... More

The food is very good with generous portions, the service friendly and professional, the ambience is nice with beautiful and young gay customers... What else do you want? :-)

After a hot walk down Santa Monica Blvd we discovered a busy Brazilian restaurant. Nice patio dining. We ordered the boneless chicken and the salmon fillet. The chicken had been flattened, and very over cooked. The salmon was cooked perfectly. The fried plantains and black beans were stand outs. An average to good restaurant for a casual dinner.

We had several smaller dishes and shared across the table, which was great. Very good food, good drinks and great and professional service (even if they thought we were German and this was the day after the "infamous" WC match between Brazil and Germany...)

Very good food, polite and happy waitress Sara, nice ambience. Try Filé a Cavalo, very good portion can easily serve 2 people.

Staying in West Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
West Hollywood
For years, West Hollywood has been known as a hub for the LGBT communities in Los Angeles. Today it still maintains the title, but has also become the “it” neighborhood for the entertainment industry’s up-and-comers. Producers, directors, writers and aspiring actors call this area home. Known for great boutique shopping, vintage clothing stores, home décor shops and fitness studios, West Hollywood is a grid of wide boulevards and narrow residential streets. The neighborhood also has a concentration of the most avant-garde restaurants in Los Angeles (rivaled only by the burgeoning restaurant scene Downtown). A trip to the iconic Sunset Strip, with its many clubs, music venues, hotels and flashing lights won’t be forgotten.
