One of the best places I have had sushi! The place is great. Food is delicious and a fun place to gather before hitting town. I like Nobu too but i find katana better overall from taste, variety and atmosphere. Service can be better.

Oh man! They have the Wygu beef that is so tender it practically melts in your mouth. This stuff sells for over $100/pound. We had the Lobster with truffle sauce from the kitchen which was delicious. And the steak-wrapped asparagus spears were amazing. Expect to pay at least $100/person here. Sit at the robata grill and have a few of... More

Let's start with the disclaimers: I live in Tokyo, and am a food fanatic. A more normal person might have given Katana four-stars. That said, the entrance to the place is stunning. So is the outdoor dining with live disc jockey. Inside the bar and dining area are rather cramped and unimpressive, particularly in comparison with both the facade and... More

Friends of ours recommended Katana to us and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. While the menu is huge, our fabulous server was able to navigate us through it and we ended up with an exciting variety of small plates. The seafood was incredibly fresh and beautifully presented. We will be coming back here on our next trip.

My husband and I had an excellent meal at Katana - we both sampled Katana’s “Izakaya” Feast option which was reasonably priced at just under $60 a person and offered a variety of items included rolls, grilled meats etc. The spicy tuna crispy rice might as well have been heaven in my mouth and if we weren't so full after... Interesting decor, although super dark. The favorite dish without doubt the warm kale salad with dried crunchy shiitake mushrooms. Super delicious. However, the thinness of the slices of fish draped over their +$20 specialty rolls bring the ratings way down. Real bummer!

Took advantage of the happy hour (5-7) at the bar which was much better than when we were seated on the patio. The patio is beautiful and has beautiful people, but the rolls we ordered were below average compared to the ones we get here at our favorite sushi place in Atlanta, plus the service was patronizing and lacking.

I went with two friends and since it was such a beautiful southern California evening we chose to sit on the patio. We selected many different items to share and everything was wonderful. Topped off with some blueberry sake and two desserts that were offered on the house and it proved to be one of the best meals ever. Servers... More

I love Katana. I somehow always find my way there when in LA. I love Sushi and Japanese good in general but Katana is an experience not to be missed if you're in a party mood, hungry and want to have a few drinks. Warm night, ever better with outside seating.
