amazing food

We ate here for a private dinner so we got to sample a wide variety of food. Everything was delicious , but my favorite was the lamb chops and the shrimp.. This is a upscale classy must try restaurant on the strip. My favorite restaurant in the area.

Sushi and sashimi of the highest quality. Inventive Asian dishes and loads of choice. This place caters well for groups and the space is very nice both inside and on the patio.

Impressive Asian cuisine with great atmosphere - i would call it romantic+lounge. Try tables outside.

The food here was great- both the regular menu items and the specials. Nice sake selection. Make sure you sit outdoors if you like dining al fresco; the powerful heat lamps will keep you warm even if the temperature dips.

Great place if you want small plates to share. Really nice presentation. But if your family is starving and need to eat a full dinner, you will spend $$$$$

In Los Angeles recently and getting together with friends, I was asked to pick a restaurant for dinner. I picked Katana. None of us had been there before, although having lived in LA for varying periods of time (from lifelong to 4 years), we all had our own favorite sushi places. Parking is available in the structure next door for... More

Our dinner at Katana was fantastic! It's modern, fusion Japanese food at its best. Wonderful atmosphere. Great range of items on the menu and everything was delicious but the highlights were: grilled chilean sea bass, grilled wagu, braised pork belly, mixed seaweed, lobster tempura, and soft shell crab roll. I hesitate to give an 'excellent' rating because our server kept... More

Sushi at it's best! Katana, very nice style, excellent sushi and gorgeous Kobe steak bites! Try the fusion between japanese sushi and steak. Perfect for couples or smaller groups. Reservation needed, try a consierge service for reservation if blocked.

The ambiance is awesome and outdoor seating is perfect for a large group. The service was great too. The Ginger Lychee Mojito is one of the best I've had and highly recommend trying it. The Crunchy Tuna, Spicy Tuna, Katana, Ebi Jalapeno, and Lobster rolls are great. Wasn't a huge fan of the Crab Dynamite. It was very sweet.

Neighborhood Profile
West Hollywood
For years, West Hollywood has been known as a hub for the LGBT communities in Los Angeles. Today it still maintains the title, but has also become the “it” neighborhood for the entertainment industry’s up-and-comers. Producers, directors, writers and aspiring actors call this area home. Known for great boutique shopping, vintage clothing stores, home décor shops and fitness studios, West Hollywood is a grid of wide boulevards and narrow residential streets. The neighborhood also has a concentration of the most avant-garde restaurants in Los Angeles (rivaled only by the burgeoning restaurant scene Downtown). A trip to the iconic Sunset Strip, with its many clubs, music venues, hotels and flashing lights won’t be forgotten.
