I love Katana. Its been around for a minute, however, I have never had a bad experience at this restaurant. The Robata grill is excellent. I am not a sushi person, but my friends swear by it. The location is nice in West Hollywood and if you are into it, you will always spot some celebrities having dinner here. I... More

We really enjoyed this resturant, the drinks we had before getting our table outside was not so good, but that was all forgotten when we took the first bite of food. We had a sample meny of their best sellers, USD 58.00 pr person. The banana dessert was mediocre, but the super friendly and down to earth staff made up... More

Great restaurant! The food was delicious, the ambiance was fun & unique, and the waitstaff was very friendly. We had reservations for 9pm but got to the restaurant very early but the hostess was nice enough to seat us at a great table on the patio.

We were referred to this restaurant from our hotel concierge and was not disappointed! They have great outside seating which I would recommend. We ordered th surf and turn waygu/lobster and a few rolls and everything came out perfect! Food was delicious and drinks were good too!

I may be a traditionalist, but I like my Japanese food the way the Japanese intended it to be vs. how Americans think it should be served. The restaurant came highly recommended, but I was nonplussed with the overall experience. Very expensive for what it was. I can do better at my local Japanese venues at a portion of the... More

Arriving from NYC on a late flight, we were looking for a quick and light bite to eat. Having reserved at Katana, we alighted from our car to much more than a restaurant. Set above the street, our teenage "short wearing" sons and my husband and I were greeted by 3 bouncers at the bottom of the steps leading up... More

Taken here with business associates for an after hours business dinner whilst on a work trip to LA. It was dead handy as the location is Sunset Boulevard directly opposite the Mondrian Hotel where i was staying. The restaurant is uber cool, nicely done out with trendy decor and full of fabulously cool people. The food was top notch and... More

Great place with great food! people are pretty, food is tasty, drinks are good. Dimmed lights and hip music call for cool atmosphere. It is a great place for an after hours business dinner or to get together with friends. It might even work for a date night. Sushi tends to deliver an expensive bill, specially when dining with a... My favorite is a tiny hole in the wall spot in Studio City but I must say for a night out Katana is absolutely perfect. The sushi was incredible - from the toro to the salmon. Recommend the Ginjo Mizbasho Saki. Service is friendly and attentive. And the people watching is a lot of fun. Will be back again and... More
