Description: Koi Los Angeles is a sophisticated blend of feng shui and modern elegance. Illuminated by candlelight, the natural and intricate details of the restaurant create an elegant dining atmosphere, while the Zen inspired design of earth-toned colors, sleek design, fireplaces and waterscapes all create a stunning atmosphere of harmony by combining subtly luxurious materials with nature’s elements of water, air, fire and light. At Koi, chefs deconstruct traditional Japanese preparations and respectfully re-imagine them, by infusing modern California accents. Sushi chefs and the kitchen staff derive their inspiration from each other resulting in creations like the signature Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna, an addictive version of the classic spicy tuna roll, featuring warm grilled rice topped with a thick layer of cool, savory tuna); the Baked Crab Roll, for which succulent fresh crabmeat is wrapped in a thin rice crepe paper dotted with sesame seeds and baked to perfection.

We came here for dinner during our holiday having heard it's a top spot in LA and we not disappointed at all. We booked in advance and got a nice booth table indoors (I would perhaps in future ask for an outside table). The food was delicious and the service was excellent. My husband isn't a huge Sushi fan but... More

Loved the sushi at West Hollywood's long-popular Koi. Great setting, great service, and some of the best sashimi I've ever had (and I've had a lot). Ask for a table in their patio area for extra ambiance.

We look forward to Koi after reading some reviews and because we like Japanese fusion food and we weren't disappointed. The food was awesome. We stayed one month in the USA, for holiday, and this was the best food we've eaten and we did a lot of good restaurants. We started with a cocktail, the gentleman and the lychee cosmo,... More

Great ambience. So much good detail on the outside of the restaurant that as you enter, you know you are going to be in for a good experience. The lobby is also well done and you can see into the dining area that is also decorated nicely. The only complaint I have is it is so dark. You must pull... More

I just had dinner here for the second time in about 8 weeks. On both visits the food and service were imbeccable. We slightly over-ordered each time, but the result is I have now tried just about everything on the menu, and there wasn't a single disappointment. The sushi is fantastic, as are the appetizers. I don't think it's possible... More

I came here with my family, the food was ok not as great as my last visit last year ago but it still delicious, the really bad thing was the service, it seems that our table was the least favorite table to our host, which really affected our experience

Koi was on the list of recommended Japanese restaurants given to us by our hotel and we are pleased to confirm that Koi definitely belongs in the list. The crispy rice was simply amazing, as well all the sushi we ordered. All the seafood was so fresh and so divine. The service was also exceptional.

We had a late dinner here and had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Everything we ordered (as recommended by our waitress) was delicious. In particular the Koi crispy rice, the Miso Bronzed Black Cod and the Peppercorn Filet Mignon. Two issues areas for improvement - The cocktails we had on arrival were okay, not amazing maybe trying a little too hard... More
