Description: Koi Los Angeles is a sophisticated blend of feng shui and modern elegance. Illuminated by candlelight, the natural and intricate details of the restaurant create an elegant dining atmosphere, while the Zen inspired design of earth-toned colors, sleek design, fireplaces and waterscapes all create a stunning atmosphere of harmony by combining subtly luxurious materials with nature’s elements of water, air, fire and light. At Koi, chefs deconstruct traditional Japanese preparations and respectfully re-imagine them, by infusing modern California accents. Sushi chefs and the kitchen staff derive their inspiration from each other resulting in creations like the signature Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna, an addictive version of the classic spicy tuna roll, featuring warm grilled rice topped with a thick layer of cool, savory tuna); the Baked Crab Roll, for which succulent fresh crabmeat is wrapped in a thin rice crepe paper dotted with sesame seeds and baked to perfection.

We like everything about this place. The hot starters and Signature ones are the best in L.A. Lamb is always a great option at Koi. Service is excellent and the ambiance perfect More

Swank place that oozes sexy. Problem was that food and service didn't meet expectations. I dont mind paying high prices for a complete experience but Koi did not deliver. I've had better sushi for more reasonable prices. We waited forever between plates. We ate at Katsuya the night before and had a much better experience. Maybe it was just an... More

My sister was visiting from Chicago and wanted Sushi, so I suggested Koi as the atmosphere and Restaurant was amazing. The service from Tony who has worked there for 4 years was 5 star all the way. He is clearly an expert of the menu and it was such a great dining experience with Tony as our server. (ASK for... More

The excellent service started as soon as I walked thru the door being greeted by the warm and friendly hostess. It continued with the delicious soup and fresh appetizers which just melted in your mouth. The sushi was the freshest I ever had! Excellent place for special events and family gathering? Highly recommend. More

www.ourcherishedlife.com The first time I went to Koi was when I took my mom, aunt, and grandma on our annual ladies vacation; although it was not the ideal Japanese Restaurant to take my grandmother who was expecting traditional fare, everyone still thoroughly enjoyed the modern and youthful spirit that offers a refreshing twist on sushi. However, the atmosphere is definitely... More

We first visited a Koi restaurant in January '10 in the Planet Hollywood resort in Las Vegas. When we heard there was one in LA and we were planning a trip there just a weeks later we knew we had to have it again. Not experienced with LA traffic and the fact that the Grammy's were the same weekend, we... More

We had a reservation for a Wednesday at 8pm and were seated immediately. Of course, this could be because the restaurant was pretty empty. It got busier later in the evening, so you might want to keep that in mind. Also, we just had sushi and drinks: Spicy Tuna, Vegetarian, Smelt Eggs, and California Roll. Their own concoctions seemed boring... More
