Description: Koi Los Angeles is a sophisticated blend of feng shui and modern elegance....
Koi Los Angeles is a sophisticated blend of feng shui and modern elegance. Illuminated by candlelight, the natural and intricate details of the restaurant create an elegant dining atmosphere, while the Zen inspired design of earth-toned colors, sleek design, fireplaces and waterscapes all create a stunning atmosphere of harmony by combining subtly luxurious materials with nature’s elements of water, air, fire and light.
At Koi, chefs deconstruct traditional Japanese preparations and respectfully re-imagine them, by infusing modern California accents. Sushi chefs and the kitchen staff derive their inspiration from each other resulting in creations like the signature Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna, an addictive version of the classic spicy tuna roll, featuring warm grilled rice topped with a thick layer of cool, savory tuna); the Baked Crab Roll, for which succulent fresh crabmeat is wrapped in a thin rice crepe paper dotted with sesame seeds and baked to perfection.

Beautiful setting for terrific food

We were able to walk in and get a table right away mid week. The interior design is so beautiful, dim lighting, soothing colors, rich woods. We seemed a bit different from the average customer who all seemed to know to wear only black. Then we realized the wait staff too were dressed in all black... read more

We arrived without a booking on a very busy Saturday evening and were made very comfortable at the bar where the service was very friendly and efficient. After 30 minutes we were seated in a very buzzy and busy restaurant. Our server and was really helpful and the food was delicious. We will definitely be back.

We ate there on a Sunday night and the place was buzzing. Each dish we had was fantastic, service was great, beautiful design, great people watching, and even loved the techno music. Can't wait to return.

It's not bad, but there are so many incredible sushi spots in Los Angeles that I don't know how this places gets away with charging $18 for a rainbow roll that roughly compares to the selection at the Beverly Hills Ralph's or Whole Foods. Go a few more blocks in any direction and you'll have superior fish.

Outstanding Japanese restaurant. Food out of this world, really first class service, vibrant atmosphere and creative decor. If you like Japanese food you will love Koi not cheap but not outrageous.

we enjoyed an excellent meal (chefs choice of 5-6 courses) at koi. the atmosphere and service were friendly and comfortable and our table in the garden was pretty. only downside? the woman next to us who thought she was a super model and spent her entire meal taking selfies and having her dining companion photograph her as she "posed" with... Enjoyed dinner here on our last night in LA and couldn't speak more highly of Koi... Service was sensational and with food to match. We enjoyed the Wagyu Carpaccio, Kobi style Fillet Mingion and the Quinoa Croquettes, all of of which were superb

My sister and I went here for our first LA area dinner. Very cool atmosphere and excellent food-the crispy rice/eggplant to die for. So amazing. Our waiter was incredibly attentive, friendly and helpful but about halfway through the meal kind of disappeared which was odd. You will spend a chunk of change but if you want great food and a...
