We have gone to Lucques on visits to L.A. for many years. We used to enjoy the Sunday Supper, a prix-fixe meal that was a nice way to enjoy the chef's creativity at a little bit of a deal (because there is little/no choice). The price has now gone up to $45 for three courses, and with a moderate bottle... More

For me, it's expensive down home food. Short ribs really are delicious. Service was excellent but layout of restaurant is odd and tight. Wine list is really too expensive.

In the course of a quick trip to Los Angeles, friends suggested that we meet at Lucques. My first visit...I liked it a lot. The food was excellent and the noise level, compared to the restaurants I'm used to in New York, made conversation easy. The staff was friendly and attentive. All around, a very nice experience.

I had been wanting to go to this restaurant for some time now because of raves I have heard from many people. This can be dangerous, because sometimes things get built up and you're disappointed, which is the case for the next review I am going to write. Our meal was fantastic, the service perfect and the ambiance, well, I... More

Most important, my wife & I had had an excellent meal and dessert here. Domestic wine is reasonably price, but the European wines were over the top in pricing, $300+ a bottle. Pay the corkage. Wine by the glass was expensive and the selection average. The tables are small. I'm heavy with big feet. Believe it was difficult to sit... More

Throughout many years of visits to Lucques I have frequently puzzled over my inability to get a consistent read. Here a good, there a great, everywhere a wannabegood, sometimes way off the mark, other times brilliant!! What is one to think other than that consistent greatness is lacking. Last night was no exception. We were largely a group of food... More

We had a nice meal here recently. We sat in a small but cosy room. The seating is close together and we were lucky not to have any loud neighbors. On the next table of four was the celebrity chef Giada Delaurentis (spelling?). We enjoyed our food. The staff was friendly. I enjoyed my evening here but am not likely... More

Lovely setting, friendly service. Sunday night is a set menu, which limited choices, but the food was delicious.
