We went for the Dine LA week. Was big let down. They are very nice people no doubt about that, however we are there to eat. The menu was very limited for Dine LA and saving were $10 at best. So no spectacular advantage there. Root vegetables & burrata was uninspired. Main course was old slightly stinky fish- it was... More

If you are looking for food of exceptional quality that is innovative without being over-the-top, this may be the place for you. I especially enjoy the prix fixe menus on Sundays, when the restaurant is filled with locals and regulars.

Sunday Supper here was very good, if not spectacular. Limited (Prix Fixe) menu, app salads were solidly good, entrée steak was mediocre (a bit tough), entrée Steelhead "Salmon" (a Steelhead is a sea-run Rainbow Trout, not a salmon, but anyway) was delicious, perfectly cooked, and beautifully sauced. Dessert tart was good. Service was attentive, helpful, enthusiastic, and professional. Very comfortable... More

I like Lucques, have been there several times. The atmosphere and the food is good. Despite the smallish portions and pricey drinks. What I am not a fan of is paying the 3% mandatory healthcare fee added to the check, Not because it's a significant amount but because I don't have a choice in the matter. The explanation being that... More

Have been to Lucques many times during the past few years. The food is always interesting, the wine list is extensive and selection of wines by the glass quite good. Beers are also well chosen. Most recent visit was on a Sunday when a $45 prix fix dinner is served. This is a deal and the locals know it--advance booking... More

Like I have said in past reviews; when going to a restaurant, the most important component remains THE FOOD. Indeed the entire experience makes a difference, but when we go out to EAT, we expect good food, and if the food is not up to par, the rest does not matter. The FOOD was a disaster We celebrated an intimate... More

On Sunday evening, a prix fixe dinner is served -- salad or appetizer, choice from two entrees, dessert. It is a wonderful way to get a super high quality restaurant meal for not a huge investment. Service is attentive, cocktails are good, it's a nice atmosphere.

This was pre-fixe menu and we were there with another couple. The starter was scallops on a skewer with "pancetta" which was more like pork belly. Perfectly cooked and delicious. There was a squash soup that was good and the main course was a pork chop that was absolutely perfect. Desert was a variation on floating islands. We brought in... More

Lucques was a great surprise for us. The shorts ribs were so tender and flavorfull. The starter salad was fresh and wonderful. Prices are high, but worth every penny spent as the quality was high. Great service. Try and sit in the covered patio.
