Its my first time dining at Lucques and boy oh boy was I thrilled with the steak and fries I had for lunch there last week. The service is attentive but not intrusive. They use Niman Ranch beef and make their own steak sauce which is really delicious. We also shared an order of sweet corn soup with charred jalapeno,... More

This is one of our standard go-to places when we visit Los Angeles. The atmosphere is elegant yet relaxing, the service always great, and the food and drinks / wine dependably good. Last night's heirloom tomato salad was perhaps the best I have ever had anywhere. If you aren't sure what you want but just want a very good dining... More

Coming away from other great experiences in Los Angeles, my party ate at Lucques, having heard many good things. We were disappointed. First and foremost happens to be the bad and defensively cocky service of one bad waiter. Half of the restaurant appeared at 6pm to be seated (which may well be customary here). However, it is customary nowhere that... More

Lucques has a "classic" as opposed to "trendy" vibe which attracts an older, professional looking crowd so we felt right at home. The vibe is earthy with exposed rafters and brick. There is a large fireplace in the center of the main room that will be lit in the cooler months. Lucques is one of Los Angeles' best restaurants and... More

Lucques is a favorite of L.A. Times food critic Jonathan Gold, and has Suzanne Goin, a James Beard winning chef. We were prepared to be disappointed, as this sort of hype creates high expectations that are not often met. Lucques does not disappoint. We had a great peach salad, and my wife said she would come back for that starter... More

Okay, the place is expensive. But the food is spectacular in its detail; conception is god, but execution is close to perfect. Vegetables and salad are composed by masters. Service is terrific; drinks are excellent. Try to sit on the patio if you can. This is rated as one of the best in LA and it certainly is.

From the time we entered Lucques, we had a wonderful time. The service is A+ and the décor charming. The mixologist created amazing cocktails with layers of flavor. The dinner and wine recommendation was perfect. At the close, the host called us a cab. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect meal. Great Chef. I loved my Barramundi with... More

Came to Lucques with my 2 adult daughters for the Sunday night prix fixe dinner. Started with delicious cocktails served with bread and butter plus a dish of olives and almonds. This was followed by a pre-determined 3-course dinner (2 entree choices). A very reasonably priced bottle of red wine was suggested on the menu - it was quite good.... More

Only two items on the main but great taste. Moderate prices for a full delicious meal which I would surely not miss if I go to LA again.

Came for my birthday and it was an absolutely super dinner in every way. Attentive service, but not too obtrusive. Olives and almonds are brought to the table with the bread and butter - crunchy, salty, chewy! The heirloom tomato salad was full of brilliant color and vibrant flavor. I ate one of the fish dishes for my entree -... More
