Description: Since opening in 1998 Lucques has garnered extraordinary accolades and is now recognized as one of the country’s best restaurants. It's California cuisine with French and Mediterranean influences is served in the warm and intimate setting of the rustic carriage house of the original Harold Lloyd estate. One of the reasons for the all the acclaim is the Sunday Supper, the night that best exemplifies the original mission of owners Chef Suzanne Goin and Sommelier Caroline Styne, by offering seasonal prix fix menus that re-create the atmosphere of a relaxed family dinner.

LUCQUES is a go-to for food lovers. The chef uses high qualilty ingredients and the menu is a combo of great basics and invenvention. LOVE the back patio which feels like a courtyard. Have celebrated with friends, had romantic dinners for two and late lunches on the lovely patio. WIN/WIN

This is Chef Suzanne Goin's premiere restaurant offering which has withstood the test of time in its impeccable quality of food and service. Rustic and almost uncomfortably cozy, you will nevertheless get a level of food that is quite above par for Los Angeles.

We were excited to have cassoulet since my boyfriend and I are both fans, and enjoyed a lunch here before. Unfortunately, this dining experience did not meet my expectations. We were seated uncomfortably close to another couple, hearing every word of their conversation as well as those of the other tables around us. However, the atmosphere is charming, with a... More

I was taken to Lucques for my birthday dinner and will not wait for another birthday to return! We visited on a Sunday evening when the restaurant offers a prim fix "Sunday dinner" menu. The courses were elegant and unique and the entree choices were lovely - lamb or salmon on the evening we were there. The suggested, signature martini... More

One of my favorite restaurants in LA. The food is wonderfully prepared from seasonal ingredients and the menu is always interesting....French in feeling with a California twist. The sunday suppers are a great value and their annual cassoulet night is a delight for anyone who loves that dish. Above all, I love the unpretentious, warm atmosphere and casual, yet top-flight... If you're ready to spend, this is not tasty investment. We've been talking about going forever and finally went for dinner last night so I'm writing while fresh in my brain. If you care (I do!) food is fresh, farmer's mkt type deal with sustainably sourced ingredients. I got the market lettuces salad ($17) and barramundi ($32). My friend got... More

The scenery is simple but great. Great courtyard, great space and moreover great food and service. They serve simple very good food and if you have a choice between all those famous chefs running around this is one of the places you should visit and will enjoy.

Any restaurant with a 27 Zagat rating should be a top notch dining experience and this was not. My daughter and I came for lunch and upon seating found a large red lipstick stain on my napkin. I had never encountered that before and requested a new one. Then I noticed a big dirty smear on the tablecloth-never encountered that... More

I have never been disappointed with the restaurant. The food is excellently prepared, farm-fresh ingredients cooked to perfection. The olives and bread to start the meal are hard to stop eating. I almost always get the fish and it is paired with ingredients that showcase the simplicity but complex flavors of all the ingredients. We have been to four of... More

The restaurant is very cozy, although the outdoor patio section can be quite chilly in the winter months. The service is attentive and pleasant. The food is tasty and exciting. You can taste the freshness of the ingredients and there is often an interesting pairing that you would never usually think of combining. The curried cauliflower with pomegranate was surprising...
