I've been to the Chado located in Downtown LA many times, and didn't realize that there was a location in the Highland Center. Stephen scored a Travel zoo deal (think of it as a Groupon) and we decided to compare this location to Little Tokyo and made a 2:00 reservation. LOCATION: Located on the 2nd floor, on the Dolby Theater... More

LOCATION: Located on the 2nd floor, on the Dolby Theater side of the escalator. Its across from the Sweets store, and it blends in with the building, so it can be hard to find. The inside holds about 8-10 tables, and there is a patio area which holds 6-8 tables, with umbrella covering for shade. We chose to dine indoors,... More

I love Chado’s Celebration Afternoon Tea, but up until yesterday had only been to the Downtown location. My girlfriend or I have always had a Groupon, LivingSocial, or Travelzoo voucher, and noticed that the last Travelzoo voucher I bought allows us to go to the Hollywood location instead, so we decided to try that. Like the Downtown location, the Hollywood... More

My husband and I stopped in for afternoon tea after a long day at the beach. We decided to have afternoon tea for two. We had a discussion with the waiter about how my choice was not covered under the afternoon tea 'umbrella' so we opted for a different one that did qualify. A wonderful pot of tea was brought,... When you are seated you actually get a book with tea flavor choices. Which is pretty difficult to choose from. We stayed with the wine flavored teas. We had the combination with 2 sandwiches, they were ok but small portions. The $2 extra tomato soup was excellent.

This was a lovely little place to stop and have lunch. The tea menu was huge and was difficult to choose! The waitress was able to recommend a good tea to my partner who was struggling to decide. The sandwiches were delicious and so were the cakes. The cute tea pot lids are a nice touch and it has a... More

Little Tokyo is a good place to spend a day touring downtown LA. The Japanese museum makes a great stop after a morning checking out the Japanese American Museum or The Geffen. The have a load of delicious meal deal or for a little splurge check out the afternoon tea menu. It is a perfect spot to treat your partner... More

Large patio umbrellas and a gentle breeze kept us cool during the hot July 4th heat wave that hit LA. Fountains kept out the traffic noise. Yummy scones, tea sandwiches and an ice cream Sunday filled the tummy -- and then there were all the delicious teas to choose from. An excellent way to pass the time on a hot... More

Two of us had the complete Afternoon Tea ($25.00 each) and the other member of our party had the Chado Chicken Salad--very generous and tasty for $7.95. The waiter was very helpful in making our individual tea selections from over 300 choices. The hot tea is in a large individual pot and the iced tea comes in a large carafe.... More
