Always a Treat

I love the atmosphere in this restaurant. Old Hollywood couples with a modern ease to make this one fun dining experience. I like that I have a choice of seating. I usually choose a booth but there also regular tables and charming little alcoves that are garden rooms (moss on the walls, plants... read more

I came with a very large group people but service was still very fast. The chef even came out to our table for a little visit. Love this place

After having lived in LA for 15 years, my husband and I returned for a one week visit of our old haunts. At the recommendation of a friend, we went for a romantic and eclectic dinner at Public Kitchen and Bar, and were truly amazed by the fresh combinations of flavors in the food, and the superb service of our... Food was great, the cooks even came out to talk to us about food and ask us how we liked it. Loved the fact they cared, the fried pork belly was AMAZING.

I have been going to this restaurant and bar for cocktails for a while now and I have to say they make great cocktails. All the bartenders know me by name and they are nice I always recommend

In the heart of Hollywood, there are no shortages of great bars to wet your whistle but the best? The bar at Public. Yes, the cocktails are stellar, the happy hour is a steal and the food is great but what REALLY makes this place? The bartenders. Every single one of them is a gem but I really have to... More

A friend chose this restaurant because it was close to my hotel, but we should have gone somewhere else! The service was wonderful, but the food so bland and lackluster. If you need to eat at the Roosevelt Hotel, go to 25 Degrees; the burgers and fries are a lot cheaper and better than anything we had at Public Kitchen.

A friend and I visited the Roosevelt Hotel on Saturday, March 14th for a night cap. We enjoyed dinner in the lobby restaurant Public Kitchen and Bar. The staff was absolutely wonderful! Everyone was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Our server Malika was so kind and even though she had lost her voice we were able to still laugh and communicate.... More

I always eat here whenever I'm in town. Chef Vincent Cachot is truly passionate about the best quality, freshness and proper presentation of food. He was kind enough to explain to me about the different dishes that I tried out this time around. I had the Steak Tartare which came with a quail egg, parsley, radish, and horseradish. You mix them... More

Went here thinking it was a nice steak house. The service was soso. The wine list was soso but the Justin and the Jayson. Didn't find my waiter very knowledgeable about wine. The sword fish was eaten 1/4 had better many places. I would not recommend. I won't be coming back here.

Staying in Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
