Description: From Domaine Restaurant's Tim Goodell comes Public Kitchen & Bar, new at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, featuring a menu of eclectic American fare. The landmark hotel's reimagined dining hall offers locals and travelers alike a stunning setting reminiscent of a stylish and welcoming private home. A loft-inspired design provides a lighter, brighter space highlighted by black walnut butcher block tables, redesigned 1960s library chairs and diamond-tufted banquettes. At the room's center, a large, three-sided, marble topped bar offers creative cocktails, a moderately priced bottle wine list, beers by draft and bottle and an assortment of cured meats and cheeses.

The selections were few, but wonderful. Less choices but still hard to choose. The service was especially notable with our server Sean, taking care of our every whim with charm and ease. Not at all stuffy, the ambience was fresh out of another era. Warm and inviting with comfort and casual elegance.

I had a Travelzoo voucher for Sunday brunch here. My husband and I finally used it this morning. It included the brunch buffet for 2 and a bottle of Prosecco. It was kind of a hassle getting a reservation because the online system told us nothing was available and it took 4 calls before we got someone on the phone.... More

The staff was friendly and by day two our server remembered our order. Food was great. We went everyday for breakfast.

Great food, drinks and service. I highly recommend this restaurant and include time to walk around the hotel and grounds. You may even see the ghost of Marilyn Monroe around her bungalow above the pool.

Though I DO NOT recommend walking to this restaurant at night on Hollywood Blvd, I recommend eating here - so take a taxi or drive to try this place if you are in the area. There weren't many restaurants on Hollywood Blvd, but we stumbled upon this place while hustling down Hollywood away from the freakshow around us. Everything we... More

Burgers were bland and bun was dry and had to be choked down. Fries were cold and the overall experience left something to be desired.....Disappointing....

Lunch is distinctively prepared by a gourmet chef. Weekly appetizer specials are inventive. Historic atmosphere.

We were actually just looking around inside the historic Roosevelt Hotel, and stumbled on this restaurant. It was lunchtime, so we decided to eat. What a wonderful delight! Our waiter was wonderful - very attentive and knowledgeable of the entire menu. We asked about the potato tart, and although it was a dinner item, he spoke with the kitchen and... More

We had a very memorable evening, with great food and amazing service! (Although it was a little quiet when we were there, it made conversation very easy.)

We were staying at the hotel and it was the only bar we could get a seat in. We drank there twice and did not eat. It's more of a resturant than bar but otherwise good.
